DavidLeesMullet Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 Just got to ask one question...what went right? Quote
MalcolmW Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 Scoring first, and having a team stronger than recently. Quote
stevieb Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 Just got to ask one question...what went right? As above and... Got a bit of luck. Got some decent decisions go our way. Quote
Ani Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 As above and... Got a bit of luck. Got some decent decisions go our way. Right you can argue the penalty but not sure what else. Did Madine get a free kick at all in the game ? Also they only had the ball for the penalty shout costs the ball hit the ref would have been very unlucky to concede from that. We were the better team over 90 minutes. Quote
Casino Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 Aye Watched the highlights and we could have easily scored 6 2 for vela 2 for wheater That madine shocker Quote
MickyD Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 Walked across the away car park chatting to a group of Wednesday supporters. They were absolutely seething to be denied the penalty. No way he dived (according to them). They were also unhappy that Morais wasn't red carded. I pointed out that the red would have been for denying a goal scoring opportunity. As he didn't, it was just a booking, probably for deliberate handball. They weren't best chuffed that after Ameobi got clattered and received treatment, he didn't leave the pitch. They hadn't heard that if a player needed treatment as a result of an obvious foul, he didn't need to leave.Top and bottom was, they thought the ref was diabolical for them. Shame! Quote
stevieb Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 We were the better team over 90 minutes. Not denying that but on another day they could have scored 4. Prior to villa away they probably would have done. The pen where he dived was one decision but the advantage and morais booking was another for their goal. Could have gave a pen and sent morais off leaving us with ten men to handle everything they threw at us. Quote
bolty58 Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Just been having a mooch on the SW site. They seem a lot less up their own Arses than their 'cousins' at SU. Have to say that most Wednesdayites I have known have been sound yet the Blades fans have generally been wankers. Blue always trumps red whatever walk of life you wish to discuss. Quote

There was one desicion to argue about which was the penalty Amoebi was basically fouled out of the game. The one second half when 2 of them clattered him was a joke. Even on the penalty claim as I said the ball came off the ref in the build up so to concede would have been unlucky. For me the luck was pretty even and we deserved to win. radcliffe white Posted October 16, 2017 Author Posted October 16, 2017 Worst team in terms of defending we have played, should of been a comfortable win that Quote
