Site Supporter MickyD Posted December 9, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted December 9, 2019 Another decent view is from Chorley Old Road. Again, often Jodrell Bank and Runcorn Bridge and Snowdonia are all visible
Moderators Casino Posted December 9, 2019 Moderators Share Posted December 9, 2019 I'm happy with a clear view to winter hill My dad was brought up on totb, levens drive, before it went to shit Said views were fantastic, but that was 60 odd years ago
Site Supporter Spider Posted December 10, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted December 10, 2019 I lived on bottom o the moor for a while and had the Reebok out of my window and could se as far as Snowdon on a clear day. Â
Members Rudy
Regent road can see all across the golf course with some great wildlife and the Unibol is In shot. I wanted a house on the tops, the view alone was spectacular, can see the Hilton, Trafford centre, Blackpool tower, snowdonia. House needed far too much work doing on it but I still take the dog up and there on a clear day.

Blondi
I'm not familiar with Bolton and the surrounding area, where is the most desirable place to live? I know it's not Daubhill though.
Site Supporter Winchester White Posted December 10, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted December 10, 2019 There are some nice views of Rivi from many parts of Blackrod, unfortunately Horwich spoils the rest of it. And it means living in Blackrod.

Done from memory when there were no industrial units nor houses. Looks great, a farm house and green fields where she used to play. Apparently, a German bomb landed somewhere toward what is now bury new road! Some decent views from Ainsworth too.

Moderators Carlos Posted December 10, 2019 Moderators Share Posted December 10, 2019 Last time I went round Levens Drive, a gang of 5 year olds chased my car like a pack of rabid dogs. An experience!

miamiwhite
There's a pic I posted on here the other year of Bolton taken from the Moors on a lovely summers night, think it was on a thread Leigh White started again re views/Isle of Man....stunning views...is it five or six counties visible from the Moors on a clear day ? Looks like a scene from Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Whitestar
My grandmother lived on plodder lane between smethurst lane and 4 lane ends, was stunning wires out of the upstairs window, I can remember the M61 being finished and walking over the fields down towards the motorway to watch the queen drive past. Can't remember the occasion but possibly opening of Anderson services?
