He’s only 46 and has two children in year 7 and 8. I said ages ago there would be loads of this as per Prof Sikora’s protests and was put down by Peely etc who said he had skin in the game... I fear that there’s going to be so much of this over the next few months / couple of years...they’re more a victim of covid than many that have died “with covid”. Heart breaking and frustrating as hell That’s shit, as much for the kids as it is for your mate. One thing though, when they say come in for emergency chemotherapy and mention 3 weeks to live is that emergency chemo OR only 3 weeks to live or does he have 3 week’s irrespective of any treatment? Either way, sorry to hear of your mate of a mate’s condition.

It very nearly delayed the first one But taking the DM and conservativewoman spin away, the thing vaccinators wanted was indemnity from prosecution if it turns out to be a killer Cant blame them for that

Not sure some of training/approvals are necessary though. Conflict resolution? Bonkers.

Ani
Stories going round about a worldwide shortage of vials !! Hopefully all bollox. But also saw today (BBC I think) that weekly target is 2m. Thought it was 1m per day. If it is 2m a week we could get 24m done then will need to start second wave. So after 24 weeks (6 months) we are at 24m done. At 1m per day we are at 60m after 6 months. Ie every fucker.

No, my old man has found out he has prostate cancer (a few know him on here) and they’re arranging radiology sharpish. I was due for a colonoscopy in Oct 💩 but caught covid that week so I’m in next week, but that’s private not NHS. I do get the feeling that many don’t want to burden the NHS with symptoms that could be anything (I’ve felt like that for sure) or some are scared to go in for fear of catching covid - they’re not the govt’s fault in the slightest of course, but so much will be being missed

Over here its 50 and then every 4 years after that, I had my first one at 48 due to irregulates in my blood work ( I get my blood work done twice a year, due to me taking Cholesterol tablets)
Blondi
There was an old bloke who lived just down the road from me, I saw him every morning when I was out with my dog and he was getting his daily paper, such a lovely bloke, he told me a couple of months ago that he had been treated for I think prostate cancer, think he had some kind of injection every few months to control the cancer, found out a few days ago that he had died, not of cancer but of Covid! Had the first one (where they go half way "round") a couple of years ago and after that they suggested the full monty. But with one thing or another I've not fettled that yet - on me list of things to do!
