No it’s a fact that by not doing he’s increased the risk to the public.

It's possible that the delay has resulted in an increased risk of coronavirus to the public, but there are other factors to take into consideration. Burnham has a responsibility for the public health of the region and also the economic health of the region. Without proper financial support, the impact of the imposition of Tier 3 restrictions on the businesses and livelihoods of people in an area which has already been operating under restrictions for the best part of three months could lead to an even worse outcome.

And the fact remains that the Government had the power and authority to impose the restrictions at any stage regardless.

Whether he should have accepted it or not is, ultimately, a matter of opinion.

You have to assume it's working.

Even if it's over the top.

I just wish they'd designated it as a strain of flu back in February and none of this would have happened.

Everyone would have simply assumed a very bad flu season.

But we're down the rabbit hole a bit too far now.

Interesting but in here about the previous pandemics in the 50’s and 60’s

Still on course for early December, all systems go.

even if a vaccine is found by December, which it won't be, then it'll take nigh on 12 months to get it produced, distributed and administered to everybody.

We will see a two class system then......those with antibodies, and those without. You might need some sort of passport/document to allow you to do certain things, like go on holiday. That would be fun

Agreed on the taking months to administer it, average man on the street not on the "vulnerable" list might be waiting till next summer.

But in terms of "finding" one, that ship has long since sailed. Early December is when the vaccination program will actually begin.

What if you don't want the vaccine?

And how do you know if you need to have it? - if you've had the virus already, then hopefully you don't need the vaccine.....so presumably they'll have to test the  entire population first, in order to see if they already have antibodies or not

Fair point, but I reckon Jocky Wilson after 12 pints would still be a good shot. Not to sure about that old welsh chap who had a funny throw

Isn’t Jocky Wilson no more?
