So why not just answer the fucking question

The failure to answer only increases concerns

Its not unusual for politicians to be guarded with responses though is it. I was somewhat frustrated too, sometimes you just want them to have a go back, maybe in this instance something along the lines of "no adverse effects".

But we all know that if a company failed to complete its required new paperwork for example and it led to a day's delay, then all shit breaks out.

Also remember, given the supposed transport requirements for freezers etc, I can see the military being involved with flying some of this stuff in (or out). Big logistics, with tight time constraints, are their thing.

3 x the damage that the US economy has seen! Double the likes of France, Italy and Germany

Clearly our restrictions have done much greater damage to our economy than comparable countries who have the same or very similar sized service sector

Indeed.

We've also got proportionally more service and leisure sector industry, and as these have been more adversely affected, we were always going to suffer more.

Always said we need more manufacturing/production.

Didn't I hear something the other day about Yorkshire Tea greatly expanding their exports to the USA?

On the ball them men... :)

Services in the U.K. make up 80% of our Economy, exactly the same for the US. France slightly behind with 79%, Germany at 70% (still not big enough a margin for our economy to have been hit twice as hard)

Lets see on Yorkshire, shelves were empty across Grocery last week (particularly Tesco), they are either having issues or they are sending too much to the US 😂

Yes, Yorkshire has issues

We fucked about for too long initially in my opinion. If we locked down earlier, especially given the bad news coming from Italy and Spain and also done it properly then it would have been better.

But hindsight is a wonderful thing of course.  The Gov were worried about the economy but inaction early on I think has exacerbated the economic impact over the longer term.

Look to the east, they have had plenty previous experience, no fucking about with lockdown and out the other side quicker and with less economic impact overall.

Please don't anyone talk about fucking Sweden, they are not comparable and are struggling also anyway now.

Infections up by 10k day on day. A near 50% increase.

With no explanation. Which is very wank. No idea if increased testing or just a sudden jump.

When do the liverpool numbers come through

Anyway, they were at pains to point out looking at single days is daft

7 day rolling averages make much more sense

Even so, theres gonna be plenty deaths

Winters here, and vulnerable people die in winter

Putting it down to folk going out pre lockdown and flaunting rules. If that’s the case could be a bumpy few days numbers wise

Hancock is getting a good grilling here on QT.

No shock to see david Lammy mention race within 3 seconds of his first statement

Hate him. ......but.......

He gets slagged off for being ‘facile’ when asked will we be ready. Then gets criticised off the comedian for not being upbeat enough.

Why have a comedian on?  only be interested in scoring cheap shots for laughs.

Rarely watch QT because it’s just cackling and bellowing, but even this format is shit.

Hancock is a steaming poo pile, but the BBC have had a shocker here

Sorry to be the one to point out the elephant in the room but a box ticked which said,  "Are you incoherent?" isn't great.
