It's like Jerusalem Sedbergh is in Cumbria isn't it? The ambiguity is it's part of the Yorkshire Dales. I'm sure one of the pubs in nearby Dent is a Leeds Utd pub so somewhere between the two there's a divide. Quote

No, it is in the real/historic county of Yorkshire. one can understand why they wouldn’t want to be a part of it, though Quote
Not in Crawley Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Yeah - we have them at work, so got into them, but £5 for about 7 teabags! Quote

Summat like that anyway. Traf might know something as he lives in that neck i think. Quote

Yeh that sounds about right. I remember we used to go to a club up in the hills of Toddy years ago, the locals were just fucking weird iirc - a bit like Darwen folk but even weirder - the kind of place Fred West would have been born in if he was a Yorkshireman. bolton va va Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Re face masks.....on this week's shopping trip, once again the biggest tossers were wearing face masks, ....a middle aged couple shopping together, getting too close, picking stuff up & then putting it back & so on. It does seem that some gobbins think that wearing a mask puts them above following any of the restrictions. Re Lancs/Yorks..... a long time ago, i used to go to the odd Burnley game ( a school mate was a fan ) & when they sang "Lancashire", a good number sang "Yarkshire ".....apparently they were mainly from the Todmorden area. Maybe they had a dodgy batch so might try it again, they sell it in our local Coop. That was the first time I had it and it was awful. There was perhaps a reason that it was in Home Bargains (or was it B&M). Anyway I can get it at ASDA, Tesco and Morrison’s round here Quote
