could it be because people are wearing masks? probably best to be on the safe side as your visting from a covid hotspot currently in lockdown (as might other residents be as well)

The Lake District is hammered, especially in the major places like Keswick and Windermere etc.. and even in those places people seem to be being sensible, families need holidays and has long as they are sensible it will all be fine.

Anyhow im in a boozer near Castlerigg, only me and the missus and a another family inside and a few walkers outside. Have a good holiday and enjoy the sunsshhhiiiine 🌞

Which boozer? Love it round there.

In life you have to make your own decisions, yes listen to advice but ultimately it has to be a choice that you make for yourself and I will.

Of course. Some common sense has to be applied. But we're all still dealing with a relative unknown, so if the medical chaps say 10 days isolation not seven, isolate after travelling, wear a mask etc then ill do it.

No and yes I could.

Just a little warning. While the chances of being checked up on are slim, the checks are being carried out by the police.

My mates sister had a visit last week just to make sure she was staying at the address she claimed she was.

lets bring in 'Cheese Law'

Locked up for 12 months, fully masked, no boozers, no football, no seeing no fucker, no going in the garden (if you have one), no school, no nothing.... lets just all fucking die a miserable slow fucking death!

Cheese tends to go off within 12 months.

Fully masked ?

Yep...Cheese would have no problem with that 🤭

This is the key point.

There are very few new cases in certain areas:

Northumberland.

parts of Spain.

The people there have followed the protocols, worn masks and generally behaved. Which means the virus is struggling.

But we need to keep going with that approach or it all falls to pieces.

We’re 3 up with 10 minutes to play. We don’t all walk off the pitch and have a shower do we?

Like the analogy.

These rules and changes aren't implemented for the sake of it.

I really enjoy listening to Chris Whitty: some good interviews and explanations given to the relevant select committees.

They could do with putting some on during peak viewing times; might help the public understand the reasoning.

His comments the other say were quite telling, about how we've probably gone as far as we can for the moment.

This over 50s plan is only a theoretical 'nuclear option for if things get bad again, but he is clearly wary of having much of an increase in rate not too far from autumn.

I think this is going to extra time, pens, injury time in extra time, then to VAR.

Then to appeal.

Then keep your best defenders on the pitch and hold onto that 3 goal lead we’ve worked so hard for...

Ah but remember PP. Defend a 0-0 'lead' then wait until you're a couple of goals behind before you attack in the hope of getting a 2-2 victory late on.

Is he in sage?

Thing is we lockdown the over 50’s to protect them from the actions and general lack of giving a fuck of certain other groups in reality? That’s not right.

how we sort that no idea but whilst the over 50’s maybe the at risk they are more at risk not because of their age but because of dickheads
