More like it.

The opinion of teachers is shocking on here generally, yet folk are more than happy to hand over there horribly behaved little shits for babysitting, sorry, education.

Not surprised kids were little shits if you were their teacher 😂

Schools don’t open, economy fails.
Masks, distancing, sanitisers. All solutions to their ever growing problems

Every industry has to adapt and overcome they’re no different and have had more time than most.

Time to put the Prosecco down and dust off their tweed jackets

The workshy fuckers.

Flip it on it's head and leave the teachers as they are and make all the kids wear a mask, might help em to listen rather than talking shite to each other.

Agree entirely. Lad is pretty much used to wearing one now- just been and eaten in a cafe, and he didn't want to take it off, and wanted to take away- and kids would soon get used to it.

or teacher don't want to be used in a live experiment shocker

But isn't it one big experiment for the whole world? Kids don't go to school, parents can't go to work, economy fails, teachers still want to be paid. In all honesty though it appears to be more the union's than the teachers themselves who are against returning to work.

Yeah, and Israel have already tried this part of the experiment for us. We should learn from it.

So what's your solution to get the economy moving then?

Like I've said before there is 24 hours in a day, companies need to step up and start to do split shifts to help out there workers that have school children, and yes I do understand that not all places can do this but I would guess that a lot could if they wanted.

Has to be a gradual return, which a lot of close monitoring, or it could end up costing more in the long run.

A really difficult situation to get right.

I agree but the problem is a lot of people seem to be against any return to school at all, presumably until the virus has gone entirely and they deem it completely safe to do so.

Schools could also extend their days if space is an issue

14-18 could do 2 til 8

Makes sense, though if you're trying to give split classes the same amount of teaching time over a longer day, you'll need more teachers.

Either that or they have to do less time in school and some still online.

Home test has arrived this afternoon. Not one single symptom but all of the community staff are to be tested. Can't help to think they are a bit late with this

Whats the point if no symptoms?

Can poss see the point of antibody testing

Are they going to test you every day

Changing over gradually to these new machines that do everything a lot quicker.

They had maxed out of the number of kits available apparently, but the new machines are faster, can do more tests (and test for different viruses simultaneously), and are more accurate.

Going to go into work places supposedly which should also help.

It seems everyone is agreed that it's accurate testing, a working track and trace and a compliant population.

Are they going to test blondie everyday.....every 2 days?

Whats the point

Its proper needle in the haystack

No science, pure hit and hope

Imo, she would be better getting the antibody test and only having the have you got it if she or one of her colleagues/patients has symptoms

With these machines, they can test everyday. A quick swab and away you go. Results in a few minutes.

Problem with antibody test, is that there is doubt over how long immunity lasts. OK, might not infect someone else, but may still be necessary to be retested sooner or later to check for reinfection.

Is it still a swab up your nose?

Fair enough

Still think antibody testing should be ramped up and stand by my suggestion that unless we are going to test her every day, we dont gain much

Everyone thinking we can keep schools shut until there is a vaccine is a moon man.

You are probably talking Q4 next year before trials are fully complete, drugs are licensed for use, manufactured and large scale vaccination programmes are rolled out.

If schools aren't opening in September they sure as fuck better be delivering 8 hours of lessons by video, non of this worksheets on the Web shit.
