When we got promoted under Rioch my brother got me into the Civic reception in the town Hall. Speeches & dinner after the Town Square waving & applause. I was sat on a table with, amongst others, the Council Planning official who gave the Normid approval. He said 'ffs don't raise that, she gets very sensitive about it". But there was absolutely no reason for it to have been the shape it was. There was discussion of it being longer & slimmer & could have made the Embankment half it's depth most of the way along. That fckg wall 5 yards in right up to the second goalpost was an abomination. There was a sizeable car park to the side which could have been reshaped. This was a proposal as an objection but this bint rejected it. Guess where she came from. (Tip. It's quite close, begins with W, ends in N and isn't Warrington).
