Loving how the morals of the football world will take the CL final away from Russia yet we have a world cup in Qatar this year and Saudi Arabia owning football clubs.

You're no better than them dicks who drag up social media posts from the past🤬

So, in a standard good old fashioned groveling way, here is a statement from my press office.

I was was young and naive. I didn't fully understand the consequences of my actions. Since that period I have matured and grown as a person and I fully regret my post. Please don't banish me to the wastelands of the DW. I love you all xxxx.

Undies.

Give me the Belgrade trophy and we’ll say no more about this unfortunate event

Spot on Gonzo. The only thing they’re interested in is money but then you can say that about all Western politicians as well!!

I think it happens pretty regularly to be fair.....

Oh it goes, but if "we" don't do anything about Russia stomping into Ukraine, then China might see that as game on for them reclaiming Taiwan, and that wouldn't be a good thing at all

Reading up on it, it does appear to happen regularly. I think they will have been well aware of the timing though for sure.

This is all pretty mental, will be really concerning if American/British troops get killed while aiding Ukraine

The current policy is that this doesn't happen under any circumstances.

Similar (though with slightly lower stakes) to how much work went into and is still going into making sure our planes don't conflict with theirs over Syria.

Does this now change anything in terms of what we now do? Do we still just offer support and prayers?

Not at this stage. Further sanctions, possibly supports with equipment and tech. No boots on the ground though......

A massive armada of ships and planes deploying to NATO allies and deliveries of weapons to Ukraine more frequent than Amazon turns up with stuff for my missus next, but still absolutely no NATO personnel on the ground in Ukraine.

I'd even be shocked if we had any special forces in there, the stakes of a direct NATO v Russia engagement are gigantic.

Not yet. But you can guarantee that if/when Russia take Ukraine, they won't stop there.

So NATO/Western Countries provide Ukraine with supplies/weapons and hit Russia with sanctions, but otherwise don't provide direct forces to aid them?

Guess it's unclear at what point that changes and so it's a game of chicken at this stage, how far can Russia push their luck before there's a direct intervention...

Can't say I'm clued up at all on the situation but that's my understanding.

What happened to the EU guaranteeing peace in Europe?

Which EU country has invaded/been invaded by another? Unless you think the EU should have control over non-EU countries?

I watched Russia Today earlier, they were saying that Ukrainian troops were deserting (they would say that). On reports that aircraft had been shot down, they said there's no video proof, that would be available immediately. It's a hilarious watch.

Exactly that. As it stands, anyway.

It could be seen as a kind of game, albeit one with actual real human lives at stake. We're basically at war with eachother now as we were through the Cold War, but not at war.

I suspect (but who knows anymore as it seems he's blown um) that Putin has calculated everything to happen up to but not past the point where he has to take on NATO. A NATO v Russia conflict would be close at first but in the end "we" would prevail and overcome them, absolutely annihilate them in the air, and both sides know this.

She asked for laymans terms.

In little lever terms...

The mad cunt at the end of your row has smashed his next door neighbours garden fence in and claimed their garden to be his.

The rest of the neighbours are currently calling him names and threatening not to take his bins back in for him.

No one wants to spark him out and repair the neighbours fence though because he's a mad cunt and is tooled up...

Lithuania's president has declared a state of emergency, according to the Reuters news agency.

Gitanas Nausėda says he plans to send the army to defend its borders in response to "possible disturbances and provocations due to large military forces massed in Russia and Belarus".

Meanwhile Kaja Kallas, the Prime Minister of Estonia - which borders Russia - has told BBC News "we’re gonna help Ukraine with all the means that we can" including political support and by sending weapons.

Kallas says "we must do everything at EU and Nato level for this aggression not to expand."

She has advised Estonians to stay calm and says there is no threat currently on Estonian borders.
