Doesn’t seem unreasonable; trying their best to keep it safe for the majority.

And get £ in.

That's how I see it, and from what I can tell, it's gone down well, so they might actually get more in than they normally would

15/12/2020 305,000 tests
15/12/2021 1.636m tests

16/12/2020 34,900 cases
16/12/2021 88,400 cases

12/12/2020 1,800 hospitalised
12/12/2021 850 hospitalised

15/12/2020 450 dead (7-day average)
15/12/2021 80 dead

So we've just 17.8% of the deaths and 47.2% of hospitalisations, despite having 253.3% of cases due to us conducting 536.4% of the tests.

can you explain that in twixonomics please 🙂

Have you phoned the driver. Left my laptop once, they dropped it off for me (for£50)

Now, I keep being bugged by test and trace, I've not seen anyone really and those who I did I've let know already. Do I need to do this?

Radio silence.

Then I text and said I'll give you £50.

He found it. The bastard! 🤣

done an LFT, negative, so the sports casuals piss up is still on, but without the hassle of having to go to the match, so even better

Of course,

Quality control found 2.53 times more substandard twixes this year than last year, but only because they tested 5.36 more twixes.

So the failure rate has effectively gone from 11.4% to 5.4%.

At the darts here

When we originally got tickets every day was a compete sellout

Lots of empty seats, and you can now get tickets for most days again

I think quite a few tickets got sent back from abroad the Dutch and Germans would usually sell

Said this all along. Does anyone actually still believe this came from a bat?

Bioweapon to weaken the west and pulverise economies.

dunno what they based their research on, but, this very indepth investigation piece suggests that it was more than likely a lab leak, that it did come from bats found in an old mine, but it wasn't on purpose

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2021/06/the-lab-leak-theory-inside-the-fight-to-uncover-covid-19s-origins

if anyone can provide evidence it might be engineered as indepth as the above, I'll happily consider it, but I doubt it

Aren’t there something like a thousand new viruses discovered every year? Almost all are harmless to us

Eventually, one was bound to find a way round our defences.

Lets hope it’s not a repeating pattern because if there are more around the corner we are fucked. Proper fucked.

I believe the Obama administration banned such research on US soil so the drugs companies sub contracted it to China. Having had the bugger last August I firmly believe it was an unnatural virus because how it behaved inside my body.

Mate, even if it was a man made virus (I doubt it but you never know with the Chinese government) they can't programme it to act in a specific way in your body. There are hundreds of different symptoms depending on the person, its only the most common we can try and nail down.

The fact remains that a Chinese virologist was carrying out Corona virus research on specimens of interest identified in some bat inhabited caves in rural China. It was sponsored by multi national pharmacy as it had been banned in the US as  too risky.

Somehow it got into the nearby live food market, probably a cleaning contractor hadn't taken the necessary precautions or whatever... complacency happens.

Then it spread on the back of Chinese New Year when everyone wants to get together and then the airlines did the rest.

No conspiracy here, just the biggest smoking gun in history and our increasing globalisation

Gain of function research.

Basically researching existing viruses and making them 'gain function' by mixing em with other viruses.

What could go wrong.

I think that might be the made up bit

The lab in question was round the corner or something

The food market was a convenient excuse but was a a seafood one and didn't sell bats, plus they were hibernating anyway

Basically folk who worked in the lab took their work home with them

The pathway was from bat via pangolin or another animal; those wet markets over there have virtually anything that moves in them so it is reasonable. Sars and mers also came from bats iirc, so again not implausible.

The lab route is also plausible- but again, not necessarily something sinister.

Moreover, if it was a bio weapon, then it wasn't exactly selective, and nobbled many of their own. Not a particularly plausible route this one for me.

Aye, the article i linked to a acknowledges it comes from bats, which were found in a mine, it's not in doubt bats were the source

But the market initially blamed doesn't sell bats, the market is round the corner from a lab that was studying the virus found in the bats they found in the mines

Basically, it came from bats and shoddy attitude to workplace safety at the lab meant it got out info the general public

I have to agree that it was probably not engineered as a bio weapon but it was the weirdest and most ill I have ever been and that was after 2 jabs. That is why I can only describe it as unnatural.

The Asta Zeneca probably saved me but it gave me some blood complications that led to me enduring some pretty intrusive investigations.

I have also read recently that our neglect of HIV treatment in the African continent has led to the Covid virus being able to develop in immunity deficient hosts.

I suppose there’s progress really,  when bad AIDS came out the conspiracy theories and origin of the disease were in a non exhaustive list strange, offensive and vulgar.
