That's interesting but understandable as they'll probably be going back to a hybrid wfh / office model.

Do Keoghs own the offices though? So potentially we could buy back?

Or was it a third party that bought them off Ken / Eddie?

I believe Michael James actually owns them and Keoghs pay a monthly fee to use them but might be wrong.

Drinking in Bolton and getting the 1435 rattler in. I honestly don't know why more don't do it.

Anything to avoid you probably 😁

On the concourse why don't they just sell those aluminium bottles of lager like they do at US sports.

Would shift loads, and quick; anyone know a reason why this doesn't happen. Surely bigger volumes mean more money for the contractor rather than pouring half of it down the drain?

Appreciate this doesn't improve the overall experience but would surely help at halftime.

I'm going to guess bottles cost more to buy than barrels

And they're easier to chuck

That would absolutely be the reason why cans wouldn't be an option, but tbf there are plenty of other grounds that sell plastic bottles without an issue.

Doesn't help on the concourses that they went to only having two hot drinks machines rather than having a hot water port on each till like when we first moved.

You'd think the profit margin on draught would be higher than on bottles ... but if the bottled beer tastes a lot better and can be served ten times quicker then you'd also think the positive volume variance would more than make up for the negative price variance.

Hopefully it's just new season teething problems, but trying to get a drink on Saturday was the worst I've ever known it, and by listening to others it was a problem pretty much everywhere in the ground.

The staff they employ aren't bar staff, they've not got the common sense or ability to be able to multi-task.  Let's make their lives and our lives much easier by simply doing away with draught.

Depends on the contracts which is cheaper

I know this is more your area than mine, but wouldn't each contract both have X profit per unit sold, obviously X would differ dependant on the contract?

They should just install serve yourself taps like them bars in manc, swipe your st to get a pint and it's charged back to your account

Fulham away, about 3/4 years ago, had guys walking around behind the stands with Ghostbuster style backpacks, except they were serving ale.

Ace.

Commonplace in Germany

And they let you drink on the terrace or at your seat

All depends again on the trading agreement. At the rate of sale on match days I’d suspect the supplier will do a kick back and will factor things like fridges/taps installations in to that etc. Could go either way. Again I suspect BWFC would have a higher charge for bottle disposal than pints.

Easy solution.. get a load of e scooters, sup in the Welly in Lostock or somewhere in Westhoughton and bomb up to the match through Wingates . Might even get a green grant for this, the club could even provide 10,000 scooters and let us ride up Chorley New Road in a dedicated lane to avoid the need to use polluting cars. I'd be up for the carnage.

Ah, I understand the ‘not drinking in your seat’ thing as the dickheads would be chucking their ale everywhere when we score.

Probably me too, with a last minute winner.

Why?

So that you won’t miss the kick off for the second half, if you’re queuing for a beer.

A better idea would be to make half-time about 45 minutes so you get chance to queue for your beer and then drink it without missing a large chunk of the game.

We generally tend to arrive at 2.50ish but for the MK game arrived deliberately early. Concourse was very busy at 2.20
