SAS helicopter was flying overhead too according to the BBC.

I saw it earlier. It has Super Army Soldiers written on the side in yellow crayon

If this is just some Muslim nutjob after topping a few Jews, then it’s understandable that British people don’t want this ancient, dogshit Middle Eastern feud on their doorsteps.

It’s also understandable that the more this happens, the less tolerant folk will be.

What I will say is that I’m unaware of a single Jew attacking a mosque on British soil. I may be wrong.

I finished a game of Padel today at 11am, by 11:05 I had seen the attacker get shot dead, I watched a bloke bleed out, I watched numerous people walk past said body like it was an everyday occurrence. That was one whats app group. Another group showed me a close up of the attacker, who he was and why he did it. I had all this info (god knows how much is true) before I had seen any news. This was all in minutes of it happening. Aint social media great!

lost at Padel,  @L/H White needs some new callipers

Folk are bound to be sick of these kinds of attacks and have no tolerance left.

The problem is when people use this as excuse to blame Islam and tar all Muslims with the same brush. That's not an 'understandable loss of tolerance'... it's just plain ignorance.

Absolutely grim for the Jewish community. Many of whom have been critical of the Israeli government in the past two years.

And many haven’t. Regardless of what’s going on here there it shouldn’t come to our doorstep.

People blaming Starmer for this are total fucking weapons.

Was it Starmer’s fault on 7/7? Was it his fault when the MEN got bombed?

Was it fuck.

This is down to a fucked up, all-too-common extremist form of Islam.

With all the 24 hour Gaza coverage, I'm surprised that there haven't been more instances to date.

And what was Mr Sarmer doing in Denmark meeting up with Zelensky and his Euro-pals? Claims to be discussing immigration... bollocks he was.

He should delegate to the Foreign Sec. and be micro-managing Reeves and the rest of the dullards

Yonks before October 7th my son was in a football team that would regularly play Manchester Maccabi in Prestwich. The security even back was pretty strong and I used to find it depressing and sad that the Jewish community had to do this to protect themselves. It was always welcoming and friendly (only slight gripe was that we had to play them on Sunday rather than Saturday because the latter is their Sabbath).

There seems to be this narrative which says all this antisemitism is post October 7th and subsequent actions in Gaza by Netanyahu; this is often accompanied by an implicit / unsaid justification for at some of the antisemitism going on at rallies, day to day and bias in the media.

This is BS as antisemitism has been alive and well in this country for a long time. The number of antisemitic attacks has been on the rise since way before October 7th. It is also a fact that the number of antisemitic attacks carried out by people who happen to be Muslim have gone hand in hand with these increases.

Used to play for a mens team and we ended up with "The Macabbi" as our home ground, Great facilities, shit breakfast - We had use of it purely because we played Saturday so it wasn't being used by their club. Always welcoming and never saw any aggro, or needed security, but I can imagine Sunday's can be a bit different.

They also moved some of their Youth Teams from the BBDJFL into the Salford League a few years ago. For obvious reasons

Stop peddling narratives.

Or something.

Was working just 3 streets from this today, absolute bedlam

Just a couple of streets from where that copper was murdered by the Al Qaeda terrorist a couple of decades ago.

Very very sad indeed

For sure. It's a globalised world now though. We're directly involved in these conflicts around the world, whether that be providing military support, weapons or diplomatic solutions. We also have nationalities and communities from every corner of the globe who have settled here, which can bring tensions over foreign conflicts to our streets. Clearly there is a problem with Islamic terrorism being the biggest threat.

Islamic terrorism should be fuck all to do with Great Britain.

A squabble over imaginary deities in the desert 3000 miles away is absolutely none of our fucking business in 2025.

We did have something similar here but we’ve reduced that to a meaningless couple of football matches in Scotland where bigots with the IQ of a yardbrush just shout at each other and put stickers on lampposts.

Sick of religion fucking things up.

It's depressing isn't it.

If it's none of our business then I assume you'd want to see all weapon sales to Israel halted? And our withdrawal from all diplomatic conversations and proceedings?

Far from it

sell them as much as we can fucking make. Let them sort their own shit out and we’ll cream the profits.

just keep it in your own backyard and let us carry on squabbling about football

Unfortunately we played a major part in fucking up Iraq and Libya yet we still appointed Cameron as FS and now Blair wants to go back in.

We need to keep all eastern tribal warfares at an arms length as it always blows up in our faces.
