Very good, but "Get Carter" , despite its age, still wins it for me.

Great film

for years whenever I'm unfortunate to be at the match & some big lummocks starts , I think back to this film.

"you're a big man, but you're out of shape" , " to me it's a full time job, now behave yourself"

Then I've no problem with defending myself appropriately! 😉

Weve got top gun on

Kelly McGillis...utter filth

My favourite ever film, not because it’s well written, well acted and Of course it’s plainly cheesy as fuck. USA...USA...USA.

But from the ages of 8-14 I reckon I must have watched it easily 20+ times and of course Kelly McGillis made my dicklet twitch as I got older.

Still get a thrill now watching those flying scenes and HAVE to watch it in full when I spot its on!!

Ha ha yes, I think the "big man " turned out to be Coronation St grocer, Alf Roberts !!

I'd never seen it until last week. Lockdown demands all kinds of compromises, Mrs was happy to watch and I thought I might enjoy the bits with the planes in, seen the trailer for the new one at the flicks a few weeks back.

One of the campest films I've seen in my life.

Been upto Newcastle/Gateshead where a lot of the film was shot.

Not much of 1971 Newcastle left now, the two pubs, the railway station (Though very modernised) and the large staircase leading down to the Tyne.

As for Gateshead the infamous multi story car park is long gone (Now a supermarket), but did find the guest house he saw the two thugs off from wearing nothing but a 12 bore shotgun.

When it comes to psychos in general how's about Frank Booth from Blue Velvet played rather too convincingly by the late great Dennis Hopper.

Red Dragon. Brilliant and the best Thomas Harris Book

Read it years ago and think it was the first book that genuinely had me on edge as i was reading it

Totally agree

There’s a part in it that I had to go back and re-read because I was genuinely shocked.

That and The Shining are the only books that’s scared me.

Recorded Martyrs off horror channel and watched last night.

Hadn't realised it was Hollywood remake of French original.

Needless to say, search out the French original. Stylish like Nikita and properly disturbing. Remake was another Hostel wannabe.
