For 18 months or so Ricketts was ridiculous all he needed was one chance. Soon as he was through you knew it was in. Shame he was soft in the head and fucked his career over.6 likes

It takes years for an olive tree to produce once planted. Once gone thatās a families entire income gone overnight. Those farmers arenāt Hamas. Theyāre innocent people, just trying to live a normal life. Settlers have always been at it, but it used to be that they would be arrested or deterred from these crimes. Now itās the Settlers who are running the government & Palestinians have no protection any more. If they resist they are imprisoned or killed. So they just have to sit back & take it & eventually leave the land. Itās ethnic cleansing. Not sure how anyone can argue otherwise.2 likes

They are confident fuckers in this modern day of tightly controlled ticket sales and low chances of decent numbers rocking up in the home end. They weren't so confident in the 70s and 80s and had to live with the fact there'd be BWFC all over the ground.2 likes

Shocked me that he seeās him more of a FB than a winger / wing back. I wouldnāt say his greatest asset is his defensive work. If anything I thought he wouldāve been seen as a winger with someone in behind him doing the defensive work.2 likes

This. Even the difference between having momentum in one direction whilst the striker has momentum in the other provides all the time the striker needs to get in on goal. By the time he gets back it's too late. Bit of criticism to both defenders in that situation, but also hats off to a very experienced striker knowing his onions.2 likes

We all have our favourites but surely Anelka is objectively the best Only a young Gudjohnsen gets even close2 likes

The Governor of California (or someone within his team) has started tweeting Trump style. Very amusing.2 likes

Id have that. McGinlay is the best goal scorer we've ever had. Not as much finesse as Walker and others but right place right time.2 likes

Is this any surprise? How they have the nerve to claim that they are unbiased is beyond me. How many times have they had to apologise now?1 like

Not a given by any means, theyāre a dangerous team capable of scoring good goals, but really, Iād be disappointed if we donāt win this. With away games being so tough and the opening rung of fixtures we have, this one would have been identified as a real opportunity for 3 points. We have to score the first goal1 like

Given how good Adrian Dunbar's been in Line of Duty and other things I was hopeful about Ridley but didn't like the first series and gave up on ep 1 of this one before the end. As a vehicle for him it's really poor, hackneyed script full of crime drama cliches and that stuff in the jazz club is cringely bad.1 like

Just been reading the article it's from. No reason to disbelieve it, though it would be good if they would give more detail. The aid is described as dried and tinned. The amount required per day, in weight is 1.86kg. Presumably, this is the weight once soaked and reconstituted? For example, 100g dried chickpeas has around 340 calories. 100g plain flour, 360 calories. It would be very easy for another article to claim that such a weight of dried food would be more than enough for one person. In tinned food, depending upon its contents, the calorific value could be effectively lowered by any water in the can, which adds weight, but no calories. The article also says the distribution company hasn't produced evidence that Hamas is stealing food- there was a video just the other week of a chap who delivers aid, saying he'd seen exactly that! Really is just claim and counterclaim. The fishing ban is fucking ridiculous, and it would seem patently obvious that getting some sort of farming going again would benefit all. Supply some seeds and ensure an adequate water supply would be a sensible starting point. Such things really don't help the Israeli claims- if they allowed basic tasks to re-commence, and sent in food weights verified by an independent body, then all accusations against them would be debunked. If folk continued to be hungry, then the spotlight falls squarely onto Hamas, and gangs of thugs.1 like

I think he's 100% invested and going off reports from pre season in Spain he couldn't speak highly enough of the club. But let's not pretend it's nothing more than a results business. If he does well and get an offer from above he'll be off like any other manager. If he does crap he'll get sacked too. Football is about results and nothing else.1 like

It's a bigger job than just the football, Clubs fully invested in the one town, one club, one community and i'd wager part of the job is that the manager has to be invested... Ian Evatt wasn't towards the end. All the preseason family events have really put football first and foremost and my kids will carry that on. They're already highlighting which away matches they want..1 like

Get Miami to tell you about him and his lads turning up at their main pub by coach, (80 something, think it was boxing day) as two young lads watching on from a car that followed our coach, Blackpool weren't confident that day1 like

Competitive football is different; be honest from the outset, play to win, give game time if you can- learnt this the hard way. Up to U12 give equal game time, from then on equal opportunities... end of season cup you play to win My own daughter was once the only player not to come on in a cup final, gutted for her and when we raised the manager claimed bot to have realised... my arse; if they had just said from the off, wouldnt have been impressed but i wouldve understood1 like

I used to get mixed up with Franny Lee and Willie Morgan, my dad used to work for Willie Morgan when he opened a series of Launderettes. I still remember the shirehorses "going down going down little Franny lee, down to division three"1 like

I like what he said in that big interview, and the behind the scenes work this summer. Certainly have to get behind him. If we do lose every game though, he wouldn't see the end of the season.1 like

Given the owners record on keeping managers in position I reckon we'd have to be rock bottom in January before they'd even issue a verbal warning.1 like

only toal and sheehan are definites, imo i think lowe is too old for u21s other possibles, inwood, duberry, gale and forino should be enough there to get it called off...1 like

Aye, being able to do it at the very highest level. Him, Gudjohnsen, Ricketts. In no order. At the level we were at- Walker for me was the best finisher. At the time SJM, almost played as his foil, whereas SJM took up the mantle as the goal scorer once Walker left. As above Blake complimented him very well. It's a shame that by the time we reached the premier league, SJM had peaked, as he wasn't at the standard needed then, though neither was much of the team.1 like

Toal wasted a fraction of a second appealing for offside. Thereafter, he gained on McGoldrick and was there as he shot. If heād played to whistle, heād have caught him. Schumacher needs to have a word.1 like

We beat Ipswich 5-2 at Portman Road in the same season, and they reached the Premier League the year before Sunderland. Tier 3 to 1 is very achievable.1 like

I loved Klasnic so he's definitely in top ten and I guess ALF too Never really thought of Gudjonsen as a striker, though he scored plenty, more a creative number 10 JT before my time and also for some reason a term for a penis so can't take him seriously1 like

And as good as Walker was on the ground, McGinlay had more devilment and fearlessness with his finishing in the air, he scored a bigger variety of goals. For a smallish player, the number of headers he scored was ridiculous (just from memory, not looked at any stats). ALF probably the only one to come close in my time - small player scoring headers regularly.1 like

My take is heās not even had one window. Agree with you it looks exciting what heās trying to achieve. Heās also proven at this level and has shown he wonāt live or die by a style of football that the players canāt achieve. Personally anyone questioning this in a few months is bonkers. Im getting a whiff of Rioch (Collins and TP in mind) of him building something better than just going up. I personally think itās exciting times ahead. Heās making the big calls.1 like

It amazing how far we come with these drugs, so many of my mates are in PrEP. Got one mate caught HIV in the 80s and has no idea how he survived when so many of his friends died and now due to modern drugs has a near zero viral load.1 like

This is one of those horrible situations where the opposition have lost three out of their first three and their next match is against .... Bolton. The cynical football fan in me fears the worst and you'd have to suspect Reading will prove much better than the start they've had. Making light work of grabbing three points on Wednesday night would be very encouraging.1 like

Jesus I'm not. I'm literally telling you what I can see. What I deal with every day. HMOs and Hotels full of Asylum Seekers and the swell of Eastern European folk is getting bigger and bigger. I work for landlords, I know business owners, I can see before my fucking eyes what's happening. It's not good. If we had decent folk from Poland or any other gaff that was improving the place and all wanted to do a bit I'd waving them in. Like we did 15-20 years ago. You think I'm gathering my opinions from GB news and X? Get fucked you sanctimonious twat.1 like
