  1. They're rowing home, they're rowing home, they're rowing, Norway's rowing home.
  2. Just a few miles from Clacton is a place called Weeley I can't think of a better place for Count Binface to launch his campaign from
  3. Just because

be disappointed if he decided to go there over us
  5. Smiling at all the talk (not on here) about how poor we've played. Yes, I don't think we played much fluent football against Mexico, and after going down to 10 men it was always going to be a backs to the wall job. Similarly at times last night, Norway put us under pressure and had a fair bit of the game. Did we ride our luck ? Yeah, a bit at times. Norway are a good team, no surprise they ran us close. Think we have to take into account the Mexico effort when criticising last night. Players ran their blood to water to get a result, it was bound to have some affect. Just keep finding ways to win will do. Hopefully the squad can rest up, get a few players back fit and well ready for the semi. Think we've got this 🙏
  6. Don’t forget to wear your Argentina shirt with the rest of the sad Scottish bastards.
  7. I think that initial interview was slightly misinterpreted by TT, hence my reference to the English language. I don't think the interviewer was actually saying the mentality was a problem, but just listing reasons why TT might have been unhappy. Nevertheless, the interviewer didn't need to list things in that way. He should have simply left the open question of "what we you unhappy about" and let TT formulate his answer in his own way, in his own time. Instead TT, understandably, was irked by the comment, and stuff blew out of proportion. I was pleased with the guys in the studio and there response. They didn't muck rake, and actually said a bit of tension, and not letting players start believing the hype etc, was good. It's tbe press afterwards that should look at themselves. It has also been refreshing to hear from the assistant at half time, as he's been more open, and Frank in his comments. Suggests a set up that wants to win, is happy to be pushed and has a togetherness. Like TT, I was somewhat frustrated, as I think we are better than we showed at times, but I also accept that the heat and humidity is terrible to deal with.
  8. Aye. The comments post match were in the "heat of the game" and I also think the subtleties of English and TT's non perfect English led to his interview being overblown. Any slight issues will be worked out between the squad. Any press people muck raking at this point in time should hang their heads in shame. Get behind the lot of them. If anything slightly untoward does come out after the tournament, then report it then. Building shit up is a cunt's trick.

I think only money decides that. Just an opinion but I think he enjoyed his time here. I really like him And would love him to sign up
  10. only the occasion will beat us these aren't a good side
  11. At HT, the Italian cousin who played for Canecati in Serie D messaged me and said "England win this, no matter how long it takes. It takes more than muscle to win football matches and Norway have only muscle. England have the brains and intelligence and it always wins through in the end. Bellingham is bellissimo". He was right on all counts. Get in!
  12. Getting to a semi is a good tourno for us. I had 90 and 96 and thought that was my lot. We are regulars at this stage. Into them argie twats we go
  13. At times I didnt think we were getting through that. Even disregarding the disallowed Norwsy goal they looked stronger. Our subs were better than theirs. Doubts about Spence but his pace over the first 5 yards is incredible. Dan Burns header on the final whistle was fucking legendary. Bellinghams got the lot hasn't he. Including a striker's instinct. But the first goal is outstanding, first touch, touch 2 and 3 keeping it away from the defender and then finish.
  14. Gabriel Clarke being a right twat in the interviews
  15. Jude is a proper heroic cunt
  16. Fuck me that was hard work but by christ they battled for that
  17. Must admit this has me at a crossroads and has had me pondering for the last few hours He was 68 which is 6 years older than me I’m trundling along nicely at work earning a decent coin with a pretty nice car. But my trip down the emergency surgery pathway earlier this year with my gallbladder, coupled with a problematic hip, has me wondering whether now is the time to pack it all in. A long chat with a WWay poster who I saw today also has me thinking whether I’m just funding my kids/step-kids futures? A lot to think about tbh. Is it time?
  18. Mine enjoying a bit of sea breeze at last
  19. Mine is thoroughly pissed off with the heat.
  20. The next question then is what had the cunt done? They may have been treating him leniently.
  21. Had this debate many of times with @tomski and @Pablo for years. I decide on a Sunday night to educate myself and watch any bit of foreign footy I could. Italian, German, French and a little Spanish. For me you just don't get games elsewhere like you do in the Premier League. Blood and Thunder, fast paced, proper shit stormers on a Super Sunday where you think Jesus Christ what a game. That's not to say the standard or technical standard is better, but for all round entertainment the Premier League wins hands down. When you look across the big cups, English Clubs are there or there about in every final. Some games in the lower reaches are bloody awful though, but I think that's across the board.
  22. It feels like it'll be a real step up to me I know they've not been great but they'll find something extra against us because it's us and I just hope we're wise to the shennagins they'll inevitably get up to We can win it though for sure I really feel our best bet is to throw caution to the wind and run at the fuckers I wish it was Wednesday already
  23. Look if you’re arguing he was poor then I haven’t got a problem with that. My issue is with you saying he was a disgrace & should be put on a plane home if he doesn’t care. What an utterly ridiculous overreaction. Sky analysis has many players at 6 & even Kane & Madueke at 5. Eze was given a 6 and other analysts say similar. Absurd that you’ve singled him out as a disgrace. I thought Kane showed a lack of effort to get on the end of crosses & needs to be better at linking play. But that level of heat does affect the game. Saka & Gordon to start next week. Eze an excellent option off the bench. Rashford over Madueke for me. We have to step it up now. Great to see Tuchel pushing for that.
  24. Elliot Anderson may well be worth his price tag He's been excellent throughout the tournament

When Bolton were at their very nadir Everton & Stretford waved some loan fees we owed them, I suspect other things too that aren't as well known. There was no need to do that ... not sure why someone wouldn't if able to but it was their gift to us. I'd hope we would do similar if ever in a position to (except for Wigan, obviously).

Keeping or getting back our best players and changing the others is not getting us back where we were.
  27. Not a classic but into the Semis, Spence played well, Anderson was immense throughout

I actually think the injury he suffered might've been a blessing in disguise After a very bright start, his influence on matches was beginning to wane, which is not uncommon among young players still learning their trade, and it gave him a bit of a break to then come back reinvigorated later in the season
  29. Nah!! Overstepped the mark there imo with your first sentence
  30. Our media are scum
  31. A few Argentinians too. Took these photos when I went to the Superclasico a few years back.
  32. if you're thinking about it, it's time. You won't regret it.
  33. Why not. My little grandog (mate of my little grandson) A native of Sydney and used to hot weather.
  34. He was superb last night. Never stopped.
  35. We are due to beat them when it matters for a change. Had the feeling before this game that the winner would get to the final. Fingers crossed
  36. I’m up in Scotchland on Wednesday and Thursday. Could be fun watching the game. Or not 😀
  37. Think I’ve got a couple of big ticket trips in me yet which will need funding but I’m definitely now thinking middle or end of next year is time to pack in
  38. Of course, to us, it might not seem a big deal, but to veterans it is very disrespectful. Many are angry about it. It also comes on the back of some of his other comments that rub folk up.
  39. Aye, there is a time and a place.. Factually, he's right- the level of abuse and threats to all politicians, irrespective of party, is off the scale. That said, until the full facts are known, keep quiet.
  40. Utter wankers fishing for it. That Guy Mowbray is a nob head. Why even mention what TT said. Gutter press.
  41. You know it makes sense. 😉
  42. You’ve called the game fairly and accurately there. I can’t disagree with the point you make about the balance of play. But I suspect it’s a rarity that the XG, shots on target, total shots, possession and big chances all go to the team that were under the pump for bigger spells. But while I think there’s merit in both yours and Tuchel’s appraisal, I’m sticking to my POV that we handled those periods of pressure really well, and to me, as the stats suggest, still looked dangerous, at times, when in possession.
  43. Dan Hannan is the worlds wrongest man. Nothing he states ever comes true and yet he is completely commited to everything he says. Of course Boris put him in the Lords, probably for services to economic stupidity. He is a posh version of Bolty , our own forums wrongest man on almost every subject. 😁
  44. Both teams who haven’t been at their best & have battled through. Both will need to step it up to win. If not for our shaky defence I’d be more confident
  45. In love with the sound of her own voice and often spouted utter bollocks.....I thought she would have been your pin up girl.
  46. And ANOTHER thread ruined. One used to be safe on this side of the board from the insufferable arguments that ruin BTS, but it looks like its been brought to this side too.
