Aye just having a look

Was never keeping West brom up but they were in a play off spot when he left

As were Doncaster

Sheff Weds promoted with 96 points

Had a Shocker at Huddersfield

Got port vale promoted

Plenty there to get himself another L1 or L2 job

WBA had come down from Prem and had a great squad for the championship (Harvey Barnes, Dwight Gayle, Jay Rodriguez, Craig Dawson etc) but he under achieved, even lost at home to us😀 (Wildschut's one good minute).

Can't argue with his Sheff Wed promotion even though Wednesday fans were calling for his head after that 4-0 defeat at Posh in the play off 1st leg!  Fair play to him for winning the play offs from that position.

Dire at Huddersfield as you say.

Vale weren't in the relegation zone when he took over, then he lost 11 out of 16 and took them down.

Promoted last season, obviously did well, but was taking them down this season before being put out of his misery.

A genuinely decent bloke though, just needs to find the right job that suits him, probably not as a manager.

Currently 5th, on the same points os Stretford. That, clearly, is unacceptable.

I think he's engineered this

Sign a 5 year deal, do a year and a half, do OK to maintain a reputation, engineer an exit and take the pay off.  Take 6 months off and line up a new long term contract for next season.

i think he'll have to do a stint managing in saudi arabia after this.

how it seems to go. i dont think he'll get a job in spain or italy or wherever straight after this.

He won't have to do Saudi

He's got a track record of Man City, Chelsea and getting Leicester up

Rumour is he could take over at City at the end of the season if Pep goes

He won't be short of job offers if he wants them

going 'direct' from chelsea to city  is what the "saudi stint" would avoid.

he'll do 10 months there , then get  'mutally agreed' to leave and go to ,say, man city.

its like they cant get sacked from a big team and hired for another big team 12 months later.

its probably redundency money related but i think it might be a face saving thing.

Maresca was banging on about not being sure about whether to stick with a team or rotate recently

Problem Chelsea have got is they sign players at every opportunity and end up with too many

Doesn't help Palmer's form dropped right off as well

Lad has been trying to get sacked since he took over :D

Hopefully they'll make another terrible appointment

Owen Coyle must be in with a shout, surely?

Having terminated him, not gone through any process he'll get his year's notice. Or maybe the 18m he repeatedly said he has left.

But if they'd said they believed ot to be Gross Misconduct & they'd investigate it they could have refused to pay him off.

That'd be £30/45m or so saved.

Great job being a manager be shit at it and get your contract paid up.

I don’t think they get the full contract paid up.

Its usually 12 months pay which isn’t too bad but they sometimes have a clause in it that the payment is reduced if they get another job within the 12 months.

Still a good gig 👍

Southgate is available.

“Come on down!”

I'm worried they'll get Glasner from Palace, and he's a decent manager.
