Can't argue with his Sheff Wed promotion even though Wednesday fans were calling for his head after that 4-0 defeat at Posh in the play off 1st leg! Fair play to him for winning the play offs from that position. Dire at Huddersfield as you say. Vale weren't in the relegation zone when he took over, then he lost 11 out of 16 and took them down. Promoted last season, obviously did well, but was taking them down this season before being put out of his misery. A genuinely decent bloke though, just needs to find the right job that suits him, probably not as a manager. Quote

Zico Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Maresca was banging on about not being sure about whether to stick with a team or rotate recently Problem Chelsea have got is they sign players at every opportunity and end up with too many Doesn't help Palmer's form dropped right off as well Quote

Dr. Feelgood Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Having terminated him, not gone through any process he'll get his year's notice. Or maybe the 18m he repeatedly said he has left. But if they'd said they believed ot to be Gross Misconduct & they'd investigate it they could have refused to pay him off. That'd be £30/45m or so saved. Quote

Its usually 12 months pay which isn’t too bad but they sometimes have a clause in it that the payment is reduced if they get another job within the 12 months. Quote
