The fact that some many on here are saying its just a kiss shows why it needs to be high in the news cycle.

Thankfully it is and hopefully despite the Spanish FA he will lose his job over it to show that this behaviour is, and always has bee, unacceptable.

Good to see you not getting involved in the 'culture wars' 🤣

Two footed into it as always...

Also bit sad that equality for women in a workplace has become a culture war issue. But here we are.

Oh fuck off. You can't be serious?

If Sharon Brittan had planted a kiss on Gethin Jones after we won the Papa John's - would you be calling for her head? Course you wouldn't!

Saw this on Henry Winter's post too.

He seems like a right sex pest doesn't he! 🙄

Yep! Me too.......

I don't think I'd have even batter an eyelid if I'd watched it live either.

We've got news channels literally showing the 'controversy' from different angles and in slow motion. For Christ's sake like.

Anyway - thankfully his career is ruined and his name has been tarnished around the world. So I think we can all sleep soundly tonight.

It's weird. I've not seen the video and not going to.

If I'd seen it "live" it would be easier to offer an opinion, but now it's been declared offensive, impossible to be objective.

One photo shows his hands around her head, as if he'd gripped her. Proper creepy.

Another shows their arms around each other, as if mutual and sharing the moment.

Did the girl look angry, and make an attempt to push him away?

Could she have been so shocked that she couldn't react?

Could she have been unconcerned, but for whatever reason, have reacted later?

Too many questions, and folk deciding for the people themselves.

If she genuinely was uncomfortable then fair enough, take it from there.

But the reaction and extrapolation way beyond sense is unfortunately typical.

Ultimately the only way to 100% sort this, is for no men to be involved in women's football, otherwise there will always be some circumstance at some point with controversy. Is that equality though?

That's a good question. Should there be men's coaches in the women's game.

I mean a manager is arguably more important than an individual player. So in that respect - has Spain's manager essentially been mansplaining? 😳

Because that's totally different, that's you've used it as an example shows why we don't agree.

I can't be arsed going through this with you on here, lets have a chat next time I'm home.

And my whits wash is done, will leave this to the it was only a kiss brigade.

I'm not sure why it's any different at all - but yeah let's save it for next time we see each other?

In the meantime can you just tell me whether of not it's still deemed to be alright to grab women by the pussy by way of introduction?

I've no idea who he is

As for her comments, fair enough, though I'm just uneasy at the level the reaction.

How badly was she upset?

Could it have been managed with her having a word with him or a representative?

Does it need the world and his wife to have a pile on?

She appeared to be smiling after the kiss.

See, I don’t really get all this, “Fuck up at work; lose your job.” I’d much rather see “Fuck up at work, learn from your fuck up.”

Why on earth should anyone lose their job for not understanding that a stolen kiss suddenly becomes as heinous a crime as inappropriate touching. If he didn’t understand; and he’s said he didn’t, then surely it’d be more appropriate to teach him why it was wrong.

Not really

When asked post match she wasnt happy about it

Although I don't know. I'm getting the impression she was only asked after people started to question it. It didn't seem an issue to her at the time. What's happened to a good old fashioned slap across the face like the olden days? There wouldn't be any ambiguity about how she felt then.

How many here would go up to a female colleague at work, grab her by the head and plant a smacker on her lips.

After grabbing your crotch because you’ve had a good month end.

That depends. Have they just won the world cup final?

It's allowed if you've just won a major sporting cup, then totally fair game.

However he didn't just fuck up at work, did he?

He did something unwelcome and inappropriate to essentially a team member.

As the head of the FA, the ones setting the standards and rules he has to be held accountable.

Running the federation after this and talking about equality in the game is going to look daft.

And as such, he cannot, and should not, hold that position.

Wonder how many would be happy with their daughter's boss doing that to her?

I also don't take my shirt off and run around the office, screaming, before pointing to my shoe every time I do something good at work either.

Taking this incident in isolation - I think it's reasonable to give him the benefit of the doubt, and understand that he was caught up in the emotion moment. And that, on balance of probability he was just caught up in the money and that he want doing it for sexual kicks.

If he's got a track record of it then throw the book at him.

I'd never even heard of him till yesterday when he suddenly became the new Harvey Weinstein.
