I know we have to offer away fans the same prices as home fans but can we charge more for drinks etc in the away end.

Been rumours that places have done that for years but I’d have thought, if proven, we’d get a fine from the EFL for breaking some spirit of the game kind of bylaw.

These cat A games like Wrexham, Wigan, Blackpool, Birmingham etc should be £40 a ticket and limit the away support to 2,000.
2,000 at £40 will still sell and generates the same revenue as 4,000 at £20 and is easier to control.

It does mean the casual Bolton fan gets ripped off, but you can get round that by offering home fans those 4 games in a £100 bundle.

Will this put a stop to the tenner a ticket matches where you get hordes of tourists trying to get a pint at their seat, wandering about and then disappearing at half time leaving tonnes of rubish in their wake ?

Hope so.
Arriving at 3.10pm with their A4 printout, struggling to find their seat based on a series of letters known as the alphabet in ascending order and then ordered by one or more sequential numbers.

All with the assistance of a steward anyway.

And then they tell you that you are sitting in 'their' seat, despite you having the same ST seat since the stadium opened.

Had that once last season.
He says "I think you're in my seat."
I just said "OK" and carried on watching the game.
He repeated himself, so I said "I know what you think, but you now need to go and sit in the seat that it says on your ticket"

I've had the same seat for years, right in the corner, row z no problem. I've changed it now for one lower down due to my advancing years, nowt to do with this.

Last home match a big grizzly bear student type wheezes up, plonks himself next to me and claims to have got the two seats next to me, and starts mithering. It would have been ideal in winter, it was like sitting next to an Aga, but he would have been taking over my corner, the big wheezy fucker.

Can only see the headline in the BEN,  but it looks like the wise decision has been made to have home fans behind the nets in the 'big' games.     Hopefully that will limit away teams to 3000ish.

Next season every game will be billed either a 'big' or 'must win' game
