Bolton News now confirming that both 1st legs are on the Saturday

Well that's me out of the away leg

https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/24273251.bolton-wanderers-date-change-play-off-semi-final-1st-leg/

So 3pm or 7.45pm

But that could still change on police advice

So if it's Blackpool or Lincoln expect it to be 12.30pm

The way tonight’s game is going we are almost guaranteed to be finishing 3rd unless the most unlikely happened and Carlisle win

Good for those with Each Way bets that include top 3 👍

i read a suggestion the time of our game might be dictated by it being the last day of WSL

havent checked if its probable or if its just to wind up joey barton

2 years ago Bristol Rovers (with Aaron Collins) had to better Northampton by 5 goals to get promotion. They scored 7. I’m old enough to know miracles do happen sometimes 🤞

I believe Collins scored 2 of them?

Aye. Scotchers at 12.30. And women at 3pm. So on that basis it’s conceivable that a 5.30 KO may be more beneficial to the powers that be, even though it would be the shittest option for L1 fans…

It’s so shit that the game is less than a month off and no time confirmed, yes we maybe jumping the gun but it can make a big difference when sorting plans out not to mention prices going through the roof

BBC show some of the women's games, but I don't know about sky.

Surely there isn't so much "competition" as to warrant late start times for the play offs?

Sky show them as well. I’m expecting 5.30pm unless it’s us v Blackpool.

Just indicates how far down the football sphere we now are if even WSL is considered more important?

The WSL is important to the TV companies  as it isn't worth the aggro of treating it like it is important.

I think women's football is great and that it's about time that girls and women got the opportunity and incentive to get involved in the great game - WSL does a great job in promoting it. The more females that are into football = less females whingeing about it being on the telly and men going to games and talking about it plus more supporters attending the men's games which is good for the club.

That said, it's a different game. On Monday night we were a player short and having trawled through our Whatsapp group trying to coerce someone to make up the numbers, one bloke said he'd got a +1 who turned out to be a woman who plays for the town women's team - a woman I've known since she was a kid. Fair enough she could run, control, pass and shoot etc well enough to get involved, but all the guys were unwilling to mark/tackle her in case they broke her. Now I'm an old guy and the lads don't think twice about halving me given the opportunity but for now I can still compete and get stuck in where required whereas for the first half hour, nobody would go near her. So I decided to mark her for a bit and she didn't get a look in. Fair play to her - she appreciated being treated the same as everyone else (although I accidentally handled her left tit in one tackle) but the difference in physicality whilst playing is massive. "Boys against men"  is a well used comparator, but men against women is a whole new level, and a lot of blokes feel obliged to back off which changes the game. We've never had a woman playing before and she enjoyed it so much she wants to play again - but sooner or later, somebody is going to snap her.

I'm all for showing women's football on TV, but scheduling the playoffs to suit the TV schedule is bollocks. I know we need the TV money, and that's the problem, not women's football.
