Funnily enough Banksy (the one the Tories think is a vandal) used to be a goalkeeper. Played for an amateur team that I used to play for in Bristol, way before I joined them. They did a tour to Mexico and he was in goal for it. A lot of the older lads knew him.

He's a massive leftie, so he'll trigger a few on here. But I think a lot of his art is ace. I've seen his exhibition in Glasgow recently and then the Dismaland one a while back. Both brilliant.

My favourite piece is his working from home one he did to wind up his wife during the pandemic.

I saw a BWFC on Minder or the Sweeney and thought it was us for years. Turns out could have been Borham Wood. Then it turns out Borhamwood is one word so it might be us again.

The place is Borehamwood

The team is Boreham Wood

So it could be them

If its the one i'm thinking of , blonde haired lad., arrested with a mate of mine at Oxford one time in the 70s . Dead now the other lad.

That's him, top lad Conrad, (was the other lad AH?) He went working away, can't remember  where, he had a top job, seen him a couple of times over the last couple of seasons at the match

Yes, same lad. I was occasionally his apprentice at Horwich Loco Works. Travelled to most away games by train on freebies.
He ended up in banking and lives (I think) down Berkshire. He occasionally makes the trip back up for games and I’ve bumped into him at Southern away days.

Aye; I suppose that's the point. You can interpret it as you want.

For me, it suggests the political elite, blinded by their ideology, walking off their pedestal and taking the nation off the edge of a cliff.

It's about Imperialism according to some art fella on the telly but he could have been talking shite.

An arts fella talking shite?

Who'd have thought it?
