They all had but the change didnt work that’s what you live and die by as a manager the subs didn’t get us over the line

Everything went down our left for fifteen minutes and nothing was done to shore it up. You could see it coming and it did. We needed an extra defender brought on, not McAtee who's first touch was to give the ball away

We do everything right until that final third then we’re absolute bobbins at playing that final ball. We can’t keep relying on ACD to keep weaving his way through, the first time he passed it through to Burstow we scored but so many weak off target shots instead of just hitting the target and at least making the keeper work. We’re so weak up top though and as others have said the substitutions killed us.

Blame lies with the manager for me there. Subs weren't right and too disruptive, was the wrong time to bring Dalby on having been out for so long. Constantly giving the ball away up top which just piled the pressure on our defence. Poor game management to let Reading dominate from 65 minutes, they deserved their equaliser. We were so frantic.

We're just off it. 5 points from a possible 12 is a poor start and we're not clinical enough in the final third.

There is a lot of quality in this squad though. If we can starting gelling soon then I can see us kicking on.

With the scale of changes we needed, it was always going to be tricky to hit the ground running.

This I can agree with, some folk are so negative but compared to this time last season we have much more purpose but it just isn't quite clicking yet.

Easy targets getting the stick but if you want to point blame for their goal it's on Max Conway. He made a decision to try and intercept the ball and missed it and they had a two on one then. Amazing player , great future, but that goal was on him.

The goal came from Dalby and McAtee surrendering possession on a break when the defence were trying to reset, meaning they were all caught out of position and he had to make a decision.

Disappointing result 2 points lost.

Lots of good things in the first half, but not much in the final third.

Playing 10 is a very difficult role, Randall not good enough nor McAtee.

Not a good goal to concede, but we had allowed pressure to build from a poor team.

Aye and that's football in a nutshell. He's a real talent.

Dominated 75% of that game and looked really fluid for much of it. Looks promising there. But you're asking for it when you don't put it to bed properly because i don't have much faith in our defence withstanding much pressure.

Liked the look of Dalby in his cameo - takes no shit from CBs and has a touch of the SKDs about him.

It’s no surprise that it’s not all magically clicked into place yet.

Plenty of good signs to be positive about.

It's strange though, that others felt he was fine.

Everyone has their own view of course, but if cracks were showing then Sheehan as a swap isn't like for like.

We simply have to finish teams off and/or be able to stifle the hell out of them at a goal up.

Maybe even both Morley and Sheehan on, and just one up top.

My lad has got covid, not been great myself today, and ended up going off on one at some people for bad customer service. Was hoping for some football relief, but instead just as fucking pissed off! 😫

He made the wrong one. Something that happened on the halfway line isn't the reason for conceding a goal. We give the ball away numerous times on the halfway line every game.

Dale wasn’t getting goal side of there full back and that was the main issue. McAtee and Dalby didn’t help giving the ball away all the time

Plenty of goals that are conceded can be traced back to loss of possession and catching out your own team mates.

We try to break quickly, utilising the opportunity when the other team loses possession.

Team progressively got worse with every sub

As I said a few times, squad worries me, bar the starters we're bringing junk on

Yeah but Bournemouth eventually caved in.

Very poor tonight… Schumacher selections very strange, why not start with captain Toal… HTF does Randall start? He’s shown nothing.  Schumacher looks under pressure already… I’m not impressed with him.

“Yet again”

all bluster no wins. Early doors, but getting tiresome. Not sure if it’s simply a lack of quality or the quality of chance creation. Don’t feel like we’re missing sitters.

Frustrating as fuck this. And I think everyone in the stadium knew that they’d have a 5 minute spell and score.

But when that ball is going out to the winger conway doesn't need to get there first , he just needs to hold him up, allow players to get back into position and stay in shape. He went for the interception to break away and missed it , allowed them to get a two on one in the last 10 mins when we were 1 nil up. It's a poor decision. One that cost us.

By your rationale no goal will ever be a defenders fault because we can just blame the player who gave away possession.

I thought we lost a lot when Burstow went off. I know Dalby is off be injury list, but we couldn’t keep the ball in their half after that change.

Disappointing really tonight but the teams still gelling and I think tonight shows how much work there is to do going forward because apart from ACD we just don’t have any real threat. I thought on the plus side that Simon’s and Erhahon looked really solid together and something to build on but we’re so lacking that proper attacking midfielder/No10 because neither McAtee or Randall have anywhere near enough to dominate. Hopefully that’s what Schu is looking for and I just hope he finds one soon or else I think bottom half is where we’ll stay.
