Didn't he get one in the 3-0 midweek(?) away win? I went to the one the year before when McGinlay scored a brace and they had a very young John Hartson up top being man marked by Jules. Quote

Sure Sneekes wazzed in a belter away there and then at Charlton coining the 'shoot' business. Sure it was bonfire night. Quote
gonzo Posted April 28 Posted April 28 @jules_darbysaw Dalby in the frog and bucket on Sat and he said hed be fit for play offs Quote

I watched a film the other night and the lead character was called Julian Darby. Enjoyed it a lot. Quote
Popular Post Traf Posted April 28 Popular Post Posted April 28 This Luton game is one I want us to go out and win. Strongest team available please. Rest players later if needed. End Luton's play-off hopes and put a marker down. Quote

I just think the reward for winning (securing 3rd/4th, momentum, confidence and continuing to build partnerships and understanding for our best 11) negates the freakish misfortune of sustaining injuries. We don't need a match to pick up injuries, so let's just get on with it. Our attitude should be that the play offs start on Saturday, as we can help our cause greatly in 3 ways: finishing top 4, keeping Luton out of the play offs, and maintaining momentum and confidence of both the team and fans. masi 51 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Hard call some say put your best team out, i say rest as many as we can.....If at 5pm on Saturday and we are Home second leg to either Bradford or Stevenage and no Sending offs or injuries it is the right call, but we could still be away in the second leg with a couple of key players done for the season. Tough call for SS, but will back him either way....Except on the Dalby situation. Nobody should play Saturday unless they are 100% ok......No need to gamble on players fitness Quote

A play-off quarter final knocking out Luton, who if they win would be potentially the most dangerous opponents and biggest threat to our championship ambitions. Quote

BeeversLeftPeg Posted April 28 Posted April 28 If Stockport get beat tonight then a real chance we could play Luton 3 on the bounce, don't want their tails up coming into the playoffs. Strong XI get them dealt with this weekend. Quote

It will change multiple times on Saturday........Even a chance now we end up third if Luton turn us over.......All this Bollox we need to win is not quite working out Quote

After that result tonight, even losing would more than likely mean we finish 3/4th! (I can’t see both Bradford and Stockport winning away from home!) Not losing Saturday is more important for knocking Luton out. Edited April 28 by desperado Quote

Barnsley on the beach can quite easily lose at home to a Stockport team that suddenly need a win. Bradford need a result and course they can win at Exeter, who are down anyway if Orient beat Burton. Winning Saturday will probably mean 2nd leg at home v Stevenage. Losing might mean 2nd leg away at Bradford or Stockport and us kicking ourselves for putting ourselves in that position. Quote
tomski Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Draw. We turn up half arsed. Our season starts the week after Quote

Lets be honest, other than Lincoln and Cardiff, form hasn’t been something that any other side in L1 has sustained - Luton just happen to be the team that’s showing it at the moment. Wary I would say, not obsessed. Would rather have teams there without that kind of form. Anyway, they didn’t look great shakes back in November and they’ve not come up against anybody like ACD and Kenny recently, so fuck em 😂 Quote
Jol_BWFC Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I see that the bookies have Luton at slightly shorter odds than us for Saturday’s game. Quote
Tombwfc Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I missed our away game so Luton a team I've seen play exactly 0 minutes this season. But there are half a dozen teams that are going to finish within about four points of each other after 46 games. And unless we win none of us will have amassed the amount of points it took to finish 6th last year. We're all inconsistent as fuck, and trying to pick which one is the best has been a fools errand all season. We're as good (or as bad) as each other and any one is capable of beating anyone else.
