pato Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 he's quite good but I don't know if he is a twat or not
Ghana White Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 He refuses to sign he's a twat, if he comes to us he's an all round top bloke who spends most of his spare time doing charity work
tarian1979 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Considering some of the shite we've been linked with, Jerome, id definitely take Tuncay
Tyldesley White Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Bolton-set-sign-Tuncay-Sanli-former-Stoke-striker-on-loan-from-Wolfsburg-with-view-to-permanent-3m-deal-article783356.html loan deal & could be in the squad for Sat according to Nixon............. That would be a perfect deal for us
HomerJay Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 if tuncay signs and gets straight in the team, who is it gonna be for? klasnic? cant see him being happy with that after his preseason form.
Rembrandt Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 if tuncay signs and gets straight in the team, who is it gonna be for? klasnic? cant see him being happy with that after his preseason form. But Klasnic hasn't proved he can play 90 minutes, Homer. He was brought off after an hour against Levante, I think ..... even though we had no other striker to put on.
hughmungus Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 So this is a guy who failed at Boro, failed at Stoke and has now failed at Wolsfsburg. And he is the answer we are looking for ? ?.
frank_spencer Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Failed at boro? Sort yourself out lad. He was their best player. He didn't fail at stoke rather TP only used him sparingly as he wasn't a 6 foot 6 behemoth. And his former boss at boro wanted him to join him at Wolfsburg. Said boss was then relieved of his duties and the new boss stamped his own mark on the side. As you may be able to tell id be made up if we signed him.
Eddie Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 So this is a guy who failed at Boro, failed at Stoke and has now failed at Wolsfsburg. And he is the answer we are looking for ? ?. Failed at Boro? I live with a Boro fan and he loved him at boro, as did the rest of their fans. The only reason they got rid of him was to get him off the wage bill. As for the rest of your post frank_spencer has it spot on. Who would he replace? I would love to think it's Kev Davies as I think Tuncay and Klasnic would link up very well, they are both very clever footballers, somehow I don't think I would get my wish though.
Bigtoe Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Hes a good player, though I always thought he played off a striker Not prolific in the premiership but we are short up top so he'd be a good addition

Sounds like a good buy to me then, Im off out to get my shirt with his name on the back, forgot how succesful Boro where with him and how the superstar (must be he dicked us) Jonathan Walters kept him out the stoke side. Eddie Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Sounds like a good buy to me then, Im off out to get my shirt with his name on the back, forgot how succesful Boro where with him and how the superstar (must be he dicked us) Jonathan Walters kept him out the stoke side. So just because the team didn't do well then none of their players could have been any good? Thats like saying Charlie Adam's shit because Blackpool went down, although it hasn't stopped one of the biggest teams in the country paying ?8m for him. As for the Stoke point, for me it is just simply that he didn't fit in to their team, I've heard their fans say that he did well for them when he played, but he wasn't 6ft 2 and wasn't going to win header after header and therefore he just didn't work in their team. For what it's worth I'm a bit skeptical, not becuase I don't rate him, just because I don't think we would use him in the right way and therefore it might not work, but for a loan with a view to a permanent signing, and with our lack of strikers then it can only be a win win situation.
Didledee Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Many a team have struggled with gifted players, Okocha in his first season for example, we only just stayed up. Tuncay is very talented, he's capable of outrageous pieces of skill and scoring spectacular goals.
Sweep Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Sounds like a good buy to me then Is he better than what we already have, and will he improve the squad - if the answer is yes, then it's a worthwhile signing, unless of course we decide to get Samuel E'to instead
DazBob Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 So this is a guy who failed at Boro Was it your intention to come across as brain-dead with this comment?
Matt Lofthouse Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 So this is a guy who failed at Boro, failed at Stoke and has now failed at Wolsfsburg. And he is the answer we are looking for ? ?. You need a quick reality check pal! This would be a cracking signing. SWP and another up top and I reckon we are good to go.
hughmungus Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 You need a quick reality check pal! This would be a cracking signing. SWP and another up top and I reckon we are good to go. Yes your right, I will put him alongside other Bolton legends such as Okocha, Hierro etc. My point is why are we now buying (or loaning) mid table premiership players, have we not just shipped out a load of them. As its clearly now beyond desperate signing time with OC I hope I am wrong and he does turn out to be the messiah but at 29 and a poor last 18 months I cant see the evidence to prove me wrong.
DazBob Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I hope I am wrong and he does turn out to be the messiah but at 29 and a poor last 18 months I cant see the evidence to prove me wrong. If he'd had an outstanding last 18 months do you think we'd have any chance of signing him at all?? No-one's saying he's going to be the Messiah. However, those that "know football" know that Tuncay is a very talented player and not only that, but one that works damn hard for the team too. It's an absolute no-brainer to bring him in if we can.
tylswhite Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 if tuncay signs and gets straight in the team, who is it gonna be for? klasnic? cant see him being happy with that after his preseason form. Where Tuncay will play will depend on if we sign a right winger imo. If Tuncay does actually sign and we dont buy a right winger he will play there because he would be our best option by a mile. I hope we do get SWP as well so Tuncay can play up front.

Hierro was a footballing legend, but how is he a Bolton legend? It's fair to say that Tuncay did more at 'Boro than Hierro did for BWFC

Hierro a legend for Madrid not us mate, he played 29 games ffs. Like I said reality check.

Maybe because we are a mid table premiership side and if you think differently then give your head a shake
