I think you can call that a bite, Spider. 😁

Nah, Great Lever is a dump - but I'm not deluded enough to imagine it's like living in Rome, unlike the Horwich racists - they think they've made it, and they have, made it to a shithole. They can buy £9.79 cans of piss and finger 16 year olds in the bogs of Sam's Bar.

Just took the pooch for a jog from the jolly crofters to the pike. Lovely conditions. Walking back down now stop will have a pint and walk home

Gonna need a bigger boat.

I dunno what you're on about - if you venture up to Camberwick Shite from Lostock you have to have travel papers and wear a black triangle armband so you can be identified as an 'outsider' and not strike fear into the racist local community that live there.

You have to claim asylum to get into any neighbouring areas

I don’t - I only go in neighbouring areas on runs, I can stroll to Trinity Street station in seven minutes, why would one want to get into some other shite area? Well apart from Horwich - where white devils can stick with there own.

That's just I must stay 100m away from schools and parks.

She was 19 and I fingerblasted her next to the Veolia skip behind The Crown.

No cheap Biffa nonsense up here

Winter has been 1.1 ⁰C warmer than average.

Into the teens this week.

Crackers.

Love the baby lambs frolicking about this time of the year from my window on my various train rides, not seen any yet though.

Cracking walk in the spring sunshine this afternoon...

Rivi top barn to the pike via pigeon tower, across the bog to the mast, down to two lads and then back.

We really are lucky as fuck having this on our doorstep. Some of the views on a day like today are unreal.

I did Darwen Tower yesterday and its nowhere near as good the shit dingle bastards.

Youri reckons it’s a con, and there are equally splendid strolls to be had around Crommy Lodges and Doe Hey reservoirs.

Aye.

Not good at all.

Recent years have seen frosts in late March/April. Happened last year and damaged new buds and growth.

Sounds a bit inconsequential, but, pest numbers could be up, wet ground leaches fertility, bees etc down and sowing potentially affected.

Poor yields of some crops last year (others fine) and with wheat availability being dramatically affected later in the year, food prices will only go one way.

Time to plant spuds in the lawn. :)

My lawn is a fucking bog despite a few days of nice weather.

Managed to bodge two fence posts back together and get a 9' by 18' section back up.

Next winter I am spragging the uprights, it will be beyond repair otherwise and no bastard insurance seems to cover fencing.

Seen a gritter driving down Lever Edge Lane, Lights flashing like it's gritting to fuck, but no grit to be seen.

Five minutes later it's coming back up, so I waited to see how much it was putting down. Absolutely bugger all.

Two passes and I've had more salt on my chips. Bet the toffs up 'Orich are knee deep in grit.

As usual it's one rule for one, and another for the Republic of GL.

Did you not wave them down and tell the driver that his shute was blocked?

Not sure how modern the lorry is, but newer ones have remarkable control levels that adjust the amount put down according to predicted conditions, record the amount used and iirc have GPS tracking.

They don't always is crushed rock salt neither, other substances are used.

Wave him down? He was doing 40mph. Everybody does on LE Lane.

And as remarkable as his controls were, he didn't notice on his return trip that there was no salt already spread.
