Its not rained here since Easter and been over 30c for the last 6-7 weeks. But then they do promote the place as having 'the best climate in Europe'. Were desperate for rain. More water restrictions are on the way.

I don’t think we’re ever gonna get decent summers back in the NW…. It’s got to be the worst climate in Europe.

It feels that way. It's the same in winter. Barely any cold snaps, just wet and windy.

Reckon we've had 2 good weeks max if you add all the days up this summer.

Crap.

And autumn is here already.

We have warmer temps now, and not long back had a dry summer.

I think we sometimes forget the decent weather- especially when it is interspersed with stormy/wet weather.

It does seem more inconsistent now though, with more extremes. Certainly playing havoc with my type of work and wider in the agricultural sector.

Strangely, I've had the biggest crop ever off my Discovery apple tree- got wine and  cider on the go, juice from it, as well as eaters.

Another day of biblical wind and rain.

Anyone got any jobs going? :D

This thread has been belting this last week.

Currently supping a cold Alhambra sat in the hot Menorca sun. Its been my little daily ritual to check in here whilst the women in the family go to take fucking ages getting ready to go out for a meal

Just wanted to say thank you for making a great week that little bit better by knowing how shit its been back home 😂

Back home on Thursday though 😞

Aye, it's been too hot to walk the dogs, so we're going to have to take them out at about 9pm

Yeah apparently - just been mowing the lawn, dripping in sweat now, gone silly warm this evening.

The peas are doing amazing though which is nice, and I've got more courgettes than I know what to do with. Most pleasing are the radishes though, going great guns.

Done quite well with peas, but forgot to pick a lot.

Will get them as dried peas instead.

Lad's done some weird yellow courgette things that are a bit sensitive, and rot off as soon as they start to grow.

Pumpkins and squashes growing and flowering like mad, though again some rotting off. They're not in contact with the soil, so a bit disappointing.

Cucumbers have been the best. Plenty of tomatoes to come.

Yes we've got those yellow ones as one batch, they grow much slower, not rotting yet but will keep my eyes peeled.

Yes next year tomatoes and will do the Garlic this winter.

Will be coming for tips!

We grew some yellow ones last year and they were fine. This year's are a different type- yellow but not consistent in colour and are shorter than normal.

A petite form, but as soon as they're the right size, they are also suffering from blossom end rot.

Frustrating.

Going back to standard green ones next year. It's worth trying new things of course, but also worth remembering what does well.

Still, apple glut is allowing us to try our hand at cider. Every cloud..

Ok, today is really quite hot. I've started turning the summerhouse into an office. I was worried about it being cold in winter, I should have been more worried about passing out in summer. Melting and looking a bit to close to this for comfort
