deeane Koontz
I'm ready for it. This Summer has been far too long and hot.

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 10 Site Supporter Share Posted September 10 Sunday was a shocker. Down in this neck of the woods, it was reported that Shrewsbury had had its second wettest day ever. Monday brightened up nicely, with some warm sunshine but cool breeze. Decent day for fishing- as it turns out near some SAS facility. Pissed it down again today, but cleared up this evening. Walked through some plantation or other up a mountain. Horizontal mist/rain. Fuck knows what tomorrow will bring.

Now sunny with blue skies.

gonzo
Had everything today. 40mph winds with hailstones and ice rain all morning. Then glorious sunshine followed even more barbaric north winds. Wouldn't have felt out of place in November. The geese will be cutting their end of season parties short.

That said, we found out that the Ludlow food festival is this weekend, so decided to go. They checked this morning- 13 bastard quid just to get in. For the privilege of being able to buy some cunts' food! Felt like it was raining! At least we do it right in Bolton.

Always makes me a bit down when the geese leave. They used to gather on a field near where we lived, loads of them, and when top goose said offski they would set off flying in circles getting higher and higher. When top goose gave the word off they’d honk. Fuck you Fogarty they’d honk. See you when it warms up again. I like the geese 🪿
