Thought fuck it, popped to the local beer garden for a pint in my dinner hour.

There's just something really nice having a solitary pint sat in the sun in a quiet beer garden midweek.

sounds good though the issue I'd have is I wouldn't go back to work

I did exactly the same, and watched the snooker on my phone. Absolute bliss.

Just use aquasafe for mine.

Removes chlorine.

Sorted.

I sometimes wish my fish were that simple... they are Discus and need super clean RO water or they develop horrible diseases such as "Hole in the Head" and die... fish have some horrible diseases... here's one i did earlier 😧(He did recover after 6 months or so of daily water changes)

Sat in garden at home, am I ok to drink Cruz Campo out of a San Miguel glass is my biggest call of the day.

Actually I take it back, it's bloody lovely in London. Few meetings to go and then a wee wander before heading back to the sticks and moaning teenagers!

Thought some of you would like it... fish have some really nasty diseases... imagine what I thought when I switched the light on in the morning and found my favourite fish with a big hole in his head caused by digestive worms eating their way out (they store fat in their forehead)

How do the worms get in there in the first place?

I believe they are endemic with the species and if the fish become stressed (say by poor water or diet) the worms will get a hold. I treated this one with a poultry dewormer after my usual treatment had no effect. I suspect there are more than one type of worm, there are a lot of theories out there about this syndrome but no one really knows the answer.... a guy I know has been adding "fluvic acid" to his water.

It really is tightrope, these things happen almost overnight, this meme sums it up...

Bloody hell, seems like the temperature dropped massively late on this afternoon. Phone saying it's going to be 8 degrees colder tomorrow.

This weekend is going to be crap weather even down here.

Bit cooler here after today, temp down to 17 on Saturday then around 13 for the following week.

Not that I’m bothered as we’re off to Santorini on Tuesday where it will be 24.

Top end of the Yarrow reservoir. River seems to have dried up so nothing to feed it. No rain forecast as far as I can see. Drought measures soon I would guess. Don’t forget to put a brick in the toilet cistern (if you have an old fashioned one)
