Going off what I was taught In uni and here I would say highly unlikely. They have systems, to check systems that check systems.

Totally agree.

I think on a human level, we would all like this to end up with some fantastical, James Bond villian esque conspiricicy, where the aircraft has been smuggled into some secret south asian airfield, and everyone on board is slightly confused, but okay. Unfortunately, looking at cold hard facts, I belive it is somewhere deep in the Indian ocean.

I hope im wrong, experience suggests im not.

That one seems, depressingly, to be almost a certainty.

How the fuck the authorities haven't reached that conclusion a week ago is probably the only mystery.

thing is, someone else will be along in a minute to blow that theory out the water as it were

am struggling with a bloke who types:

"I guess we will eventually find out when you help me spread this theory on the net"

It does seem a plausible theory, the only issue I have with it is that if it was a fire, a mayday call would have been sent.

But if the fire had taken out the comms before they knew about it, then they couldn't send a mayday.

Agreed, but the theory is the crew pulled the bus switches for safety, if they did this they would have had time to declare an emergency. Big E will be better to judge on this than me.

If this is the case then it would be similar to Swissair 111.

Maybe they did, and the Malaysian Secret Service had an "Insider" working at Base Teloms, leading me to believe that 911 was an iside job.

Aviate >> Navigate >> Communicate.

That's quoting an experienced pilot off Sky just now. He seemed to think decompression was the cause.

The size of fire that would rip through an aircraft and prevent any communication would be an explosion. Fires can be isolated to certain areas for sufficient time to communicate any problems / try and control them.

Andrew is said to be a hard-core Liverpool supporter

Norwegian Inge-Martin Eikemo said he would pray for all those on board flight MH370.

“I am Liverpool fan myself and have two daughters, and never miss a game. So this touches my heart deeply,” he said.

The only programme i have missed this last 4 years without sky is air accident investigation.

In a few years time this event will make an episode that will be one to watch. A credible explanation but me thinks the is no fire without smoke, and a message would have been sent. An explosion and they would have found the wreckage at dawn the day after.

Two objects have been seen that could possibly relate to the missing Malaysia Airlines plane, Australian PM Tony Abbott has announced.

Australian vessels have been searching in the southern Indian Ocean for the aircraft, which disappeared on 8 March with 239 people on board.

Mr Abbott said the objects had been identified on satellite imagery.

An Orion aircraft had been sent to the area to try to locate the objects, Mr Abbott told parliament.

2000km South West of Perth, if it is debris from MH370, and the Australians seem to be giving weight to this, then its no wonder its taken 2 weeks to find it.

A 24m object according to the news conference, which sounds like it could be the plane. If it is then it would rule out a fire on board. Planes on fire dont carry on flying for 3000 miles.

Pretty sure it must be decompression now, all on board unconcious, the plane has then flown until it ran out of fuel.

not sure but that doesn't explain the U turn, does it? Or switching off the transponder just after saying all was well and good night

still think the captain did it on purpose miself
