embankment Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I hope they find it eventually. If not the poor family's will never know what's happened to their relations. That would be an absolute unbearable nightmare for them. Quote
birch-chorley Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Are the family's still on hunger strike until they are told what happened? A great way to make a bad situation worse is that Lets hope they do find the wreckage so the family's don't start dying of starvation Quote

A great way to make a bad situation worse is that Lets hope they do find the wreckage so the family's don't start dying of starvation can't for a second imagine what the families are going through and that they want to know what's happened, course they do but until the authorities are 100% sure what's happened, they can't say owt, or they shouldn't - and it's not just the malaysians, there's 20+ countries helping out and no one knows as of yet they've got an area the size of Europe to search, something like 1/10th of the world, and the communications were switched off so they've got no idea why or where it went refusing to eat isn't going to change that in any case, they're dead, so have a sandwich as it may be a while till we know exactly how it happened Quote

bgoefc Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 All very strange and very sad. They still insist that the transponder and other instruments capable of giving out positional data was expertly disengaged just prior to it leaving malaysian airspace to pass into vietnamese airspace. Truth will out no doubt, but if it were deliberate, it seems a futile and sicko thing to take all those innocent people down. Quote

Smiley Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 suicide mission, nailed on pilot felt like a nobody, wanted to be remembered as somebody something like that If so, lets hope it doesn't become fashionable like the Bridgend hangings. Personally he could've done something more memorable like crashing into the Petronas Towers. I'm still edging on fire with a smattering of decompression. Crew member had a stab at flying the plane. Took it off course. Quote
no balls Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Do they not do psychometric tests on pilots? You'd hope so wouldn't you? Quote
Andydee Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Mate of mine years ago was a right lunatic, ended up flying transatlantic 747s! Quote
Spider Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Friend of my brother in law flies jumbo jets. He describes himself as an overplayed IT technician. The Heathrow- JFK route he says is now flown entirely by computers, 100% of the flight including take off and landing. Madness He said a pilots biggest enemy on those flights is trying to stay sane. I think this Malaysian guy just went madder than a plate of pubes and went for a long walk. Quote
