Way things are going Derby will catch Blackburn up😂

No fan of Derby but this would amuse me.

Me too.

Dingle Bastards.

Would love to play them next season.

Posting here as some may miss it if I post in the Wigan thread

https://www.wigantoday.net/news/courts/wigan-councillor-apologises-over-offensive-football-post-5066229

A Wigan councillor has apologised and spiked a Facebook post after Wigan Athletic fans complained it offended them.

But Bolton Wanderers supporter John Vickers also said the remark, baiting opposition ranks during Tuesday’s derby at the Brick Community Stadium and posted on his private account, was common banter and nothing to do with hatred.

Some borough residents though thought the comment, “Another game against the six-fingered f******. Lots of empty seats as usual, not at the Bolton end” was not becoming of a councillor, especially as he represented some of them.

Spurs are so bad.

Their fans were fuming at the end then.

James Madison has never been punched in the face.

They were giving it the old 'you don't know what you're doing' when he made a couple of subs midway through second half. He was cupping his ears at them when they scored a few mins later (it was ruled out by VAR). All a bit sour and fractious down there

He didn't know what he was doing when he signed Solanke for £65m

Saw all this coming a mile off back when Spurs fans were wanking over him with their Angels song for him because they had a good run of results

It's all very Spurs this

The question is, "Who's next?"

Who would want it? Poisoned chalice.

Loosely ok for this thread, couldn't go to our game as had a free do at Fleetwood v Swindon through stepdaughter's work. Been a couple of times this season and, fair play to them, it's a really good day / night out. Club does some great work in the local community and fosters a very good family atmosphere.

Had a cracking pint in the Strawberry Gardens round the corner, then one in Jim's bar adjacent to the terrace behind the goals. Great view of the game from the Parkside Stand and the food and drink offering is something our lot could learn from, lots of choice and top value.

All went downhill for the Cods then, got well and truly stuffed by a decent Swindon outfit.

BWFC will always be number one priority, always has been but, given I only live a mile away, a nip to Highbury now and then is a nice little second club choice.

Does it still clear the nasal passages on your way into the town, all that menthol from the FF factory?

Years since I went, but will never forget that!

Unfortunately, the thing that gets into your sinuses now is the infamous 'stink' from a local landfill site that's become an issue discussed on national TV and in Parliament 🤥

Some surprising results and performances this weekend like Oxford beating Sheffield United, Rangers getting beat at home by Hibs and currently Celtic losing to bottom of the league St Johnstone.

Didn't think this M'cr derby would be up to much but United don't look like they want to get hurt with a big game midweek and City have packed in for the season. A real non event.

It’s a shite game before all that. The hype is embarrassing

Southampton earliest team to get relegated

surprised they went earlier than Derby did

all they have left to play for is offiically not be the worst team points wise, they're on 10 and need 2 more to get above that Derby team

only really watch the liverpool games tbh, but yeah it's been shite for a few years tbh

lack of superstars now, which is across all of football really

we'll never see 90's / early 00's types again

It’s boring. Most teams are structured to within an inch of their lives, same things happen every game, same patterns of play, same goals scored, same errors.

Very little desire to give freedom to players which means less ‘wow’ moments and that’s before you factor in VAR which destroys that instantaneous delirium.

Chatting to a Leeds fan the other day and his current view was “I don’t want to stay down, because it’s getting boring but I don’t want to go up cause we’ll just get battered every week and it’s shit and stale”

Must admit, I’m more excited by the idea of finally getting to the championship and the idea of having plenty of big / exciting games in there for many a year before that starts to get boring and we have to worry about the idea of reaching the prem!
