RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Bill Shankly was no mug when it came to signing quality players...his opinion will do for me. Quote
gonzo Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 I don't see what teams he played for matters, he should have played for a proper Liverpool team if he'd of passed his fitness test(high blood pressure I think) the man was a pure class footballer. If he was that good he would have done. Quote
radcliffe white Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Gerrard has scored 204 goals in 820 games for 1 club & his country @ 0.249 goals per game Worthington scored 262 in 836 games for 24 clubs and his country @ 0.313 goals per game Gerrard's goals came at Liverpool in the Premier League. Worthington's goals came for Huddersfield, Leicester, Bolton, Philadelphia, Mjallby, Tampa, Leeds, Sunderland, Southampton, Brighton, Tranmere, Preston, Stockport & Weymouth, most of which were not top-flight goals. Gerrard is a midfielder. Worthington was a striker. Only a die-hard Bolton fan with rose-tinted glasses could say Worthington was better than Gerrard. think its more like 150 goals in 620 app sky was saying other day Quote

Carlos Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Wankers. Poor little lads reaction as his dad is getting pummeled. This was in Guimaraes. Traf Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 gerrard My figures are right in ALL games for club & country. The point was that all his goals have come for top flight clubs or in internationals. If Gerrard had played for Tranmere in his mid-30's like Worthy did, he'd have scored more than 21 in 59. Quote
