They aren't alone, it's western democracy as a whole that is going through a change. We've got traditional conservative voters (on here as well) finding they don't really have a political home anymore and supporting progressive parties; then on the other side you have peole who are doubling down, going against traditional conservative instincts (the trashing of traditional institutions like parliment, leaders ignoring their own rules etc etc et al) because they can't align themselves with a progressive centre-left narrative or party.

Same across many nations, and we are all affected by what happens in the most powerful democracy in the world.
