He's nothing to worry about, he usually tells us that Labour Governments only last a single term, so he'll be glad to see the back of those pesky socialists this weekend

Like NIC you show your lack of knowledge on this subject. The Liberals (blues) and the Nationals are running against each other in places so the split vote sets it up for the red shite (you would think).

I know plenty down here who will be voting 'teal' as the BBC describe it - pissed off with the so called 'big two'.

Suspect the reds will get over the line because of these two factors. Obviously hoping it will not be the case and there's a hung parliament. A single term for 'Albo' the snake would be one too many. Two and the militant mindless unions will be fucking everything up.

Me? I'll probably vote National or for a minor party with Reform type values.

Fair enough - I’ll start the list off then.

1. Get himself dressed in the morning (I presume he does?)

2. Play golf lots

3. Crash the markets

4. Errrr…..I’m starting to struggle now.

Defending Trump is the definition of mental. He is an imbecile.

You said you'd never go to America whilst Trump is president.

Mental that is.

Mental

Mental

He told his supporters he’d sort ukraine within a week.

He’s tanked the markets

Gaza, well, that’s just embarrassing for him.

Eggs still cost a fortune.

but

he has sent a few Mexicans back over the border and MAGA seems happy about that.

As school reports go though, “must do better” fits the bill.

Why? I Don’t want to support their economy and there are so many other great places to go in the world.

Liberals in Canada, Labour in Oz, Labour in UK.

Commies in China and Russia.

Thought the world was lurching right :)

If you class Russia as Commies I think you need a reset mate. Arguably the same with China.

I don't normally answer to Bolty as he pretty much has most on ignore, however, I'm pretty sure I didn't show any 'lack of knowledge' on the subject; as I said Labor are leading, with the others infighting and minor parties having an upswing which will no doubt mean a Labor government.

However, because it's Australia, no one really gives a toss to be honest.

It has been reported that Amazon are going to start putting tariffs on their site so when you buy something the cost of tariffs will shown like when you see VAT on your receipt.

Given Yanks seem to think Chinese Govt will pay them that might upset a few.

Yep, and the Press Secretary earlier, suggested that it was a hostile and political act from Amazon, and that Amazon are partnered with a Chinese Propaganda machine.

It won't be long before the average America realises that he's paying the tariffs, not the manufacturer.....for some reason, they don't seem to get it yet (some do of course, but not all)

When they only allow the media they like to have access to the White House, it's no surprise that American's think China are going to pre-pay the tariffs. Because that's what they're being told.

you know, "Free Speech" and all that.. (The right to tell as many lies as one likes)

I thought Amazon was Jeff Bezos - a huge Trump fan? Or is he now out of favour?

So far - the only thing that I can make out that he's down well is a reduction of people making the border crossing. And not allowing trans women to compete in women's sports. The rest has been pretty shambolic.

I forgot them! 😂 I'll give him that one.

My son has just got back from America and I'm very annoyed that he didn't buy me a MAGA cap as requested. He did get me an AK47 keyring though.

American farmers are not happy. China is a lucrative market for them as the Chinese middle classes love a bit of Americana and "authentic America BBQ" places are really popular. Due to the tariffs now imposed on American goods, all the Meat being bought from elsewhere now.

Brazil will be clearing swathes of the Amazon rainforest now to make some room for cattle for slaughter

Temu are doing similarly.

There's going to be a lot of shocked Americans when this starts to hit home.......

Cancelling the de minimis exemption is probably the biggest immediate issue for American consumers. Hong Kong Post for instance have stopped accepting parcels destined for USA for fear of them being rejected by buyers, as the taxes on small items is often more than double the cost of them
