In general agree with that but we have to put it into perspective today played a raft of kids held on for 1 hour with 10 men, Garratt made debut replacing Pratley think that's one of our best away efforts all season.

Sounded like a good show; their mon that made the bad challenge that led to the sending off should have got a second yellow by all accounts

Plus we could have won it late on with some good chances

It doesn't matter but its always dissapointing to lose like this

I've no problem with the kids or the effort in fairness today. Did well to hold out as long as they did - I'm just bloody frustrated with how the season has gone.

This Tyler Garrett kid, can't say I know much about - has anyone seen much of him and is he any good?

i get you mounts, but most of these players won't be around next season and neither will the management set up

over half todays 13 will be around if we want them

maher, holding, derik, garret, clough, woolery and another

Think we have 1 yr options on both Holding and Woolery but can't remember where I read it.

I think we have an option on Holding, not too fussed about Woolery, especially with us reducing our squad to around 24 players or so.

At the risk of sounding a bit Sammy Lee, i'm taking a few positives out of this game with a lot of our young players clearly putting up a good fight against better opposition than we'll be playing next season. The trick will be to keep or bring in the right experienced players to balance the side.

fwiw I think Woolery could be very useful alongside a target man next season.

TBH, I actually feel a bit more confident today even though we lost. Maybe if we can keep hold of our youngsters like Holding, Clough, Maher, Threlkeld & Vela for next season, then we can start to rebuild. It'll be interesting to see if all of the above mentioned play together in our final games and see if our performances pick up.

Do you think we can keep hold of Clough next season? Not getting ahead of myself as he's had 2 OK games in a row.

In the financial position we're in, my guess is that we'd accept any offers over £1m. I'd be tempted not to play him again this season to keep him out of the public eye now that he's finding some form again, & hope that he's still with us next season.

Great goal and as much of a traditionalist as I am I like the all white kit fuck it new start all round - Clough looked a bit thicker set to me but as I've just been prescribed varifuckingfocals I could be mixing him up with God knows who - Garrett where does he usually play can't even remember seeing him on a stiffs team sheet

One thing's for sure, can't see us having Clough, Woolery, Clayton and Madine (if he gets his wish according to the other thread and stays) next season.

And Clough is the most likely to attract interest.

From the highlights that's encouraging

And the most encouraging bit? Maher's sending off.

Young lad, committed to the his team wanting to win the ball.

Moxey, Madine, Davies et al  would have shit out of that challenge. That's the sort of commitment we're going to need next season.

Clayton keep forgetting him god I hope he gets fit and isn't just another mavies

In fairness to Mark Davies, he's been available this season more than any other I can remember in his time with us.

It's also fair to say he's been a worse player this season than any other I can remember in his time with us.
