Con
Glad these are first up, will let us know where we are in the scheme of things. PP seems to have got rid of the pushover mentality. Id love us to be up and at them, and 3-0 up by half time, but it wouldn't be the end of the world to come out of it with a hard fought draw, and push on from that, and pick up two away wins in a week at the donkey shaggers and Wimbledon to put the hoodoo to bed. 1-1, Pratley. in front of an optimistic 16058. Farrelli
We have the new manager boost, but so have they. Don't really know much about this Che Adams but he seems well rated and could be a threat. I just hope we are defensively organised and have a bit of fight about us, things we have not seen in a while.

I've always thought that phenomenon only occurs during the season
gonzo
I can't name one Sheffield United player. Saying that I can barely name one league 1 player. Pond for Fleetwood and that's about it.

Chris Basham is at Sheffield United, isn't he? Billy Sharp and Matt Done can give us plenty to think about. You'll know loads of League One players, too. frank_spencer
Jose Baxter? Binned off after failing one too many drug tests I wondered why I hadn't heard talk of him for a bit.He had a good run for a hit and I'd seen stuff about him going up in the world again. Farrelli
Birch, yes I believe a new manager boost can happen at any time, it is just more profound when it occurs mid-season.

Farrelli
I'm not following you there Sober Dan? To qualify my statement, I do believe some players will play better under PP, but we have not kicked a ball yet so who knows.

captainmed
I must say that bringing 4200+ fans, who are paying top whack for tickets and with no trains to Horwich, is a fantastic effort. Few clubs in the championship, never mind League 1 could manage that. Well done Sheffield United.
