Marc505
The tweets on marc iles are hilarious "never before has a club relied so much on one player as we currently do" Some of the reactions are as if their first girlfriend has just finished them! bwfcfan5
Where is the magic £2M upfront coming from or are you just making shit up? Put it this way, their final bid that was rejected was £1.5M up front.

ex_midlandwhite
As KA said we aren't in a position to compete with the big boys in this league and I'd even argue lots of the middle ones too. We have low income streams and low crowds so we absolutely need to trade our played well to compete. I think Madine has done well for us and we'll be worse without him but his price will never be higher so KA is right to sell.

Walkden White
To be fair I don't think we had much choice to sell him if the offer is as good as people are suggesting. As others have said it would be difficult to deny him the opportunity of doubling his wages. Risk is he sulks, gets injured or whatever and as we all know we still need cash to keep going. How good or bad a decision that will be who knows at this stage. Who we bring in will have a lot to do with that. The Gary Madine v Neil Warnock boxing match will be interesting mind. radcliffe white
Cardiff fans seem to think the 6m is to appease us bolton fans and that most of it will be add ons (which tbf we gathered add ons) Suppose the true figure of how much upfront will go a mystery

mickbrown
If we don't sign a similar sort of player as a replacement we're down. Parky can't change the way we play.

Hence the big lump from Holland being linked.... I tend to agree that Parky ain't going to change the system and style of play too much. So i'd be fucking amazed we're letting our "Messi" go without a similar arge unit coming in to replace him.

It is embarrassing and way over the top and I can't believe some of the crap that people are spouting. But that's only my opinion and I'm unfortunately not in my teens/early 20's any more so have seen my fair share of footballing disappointments, but didn't have social media to share my adolescent outcry on. Whatever people's opinions of Madine and this transfer deal are though there's a large swathe of supporters now who rightly or wrongly need the Andersons to do some serious bridge building with them and if we are to get relegated, whether Madine not being there is the reason or not, they'll find it very hard to win back any goodwill.
