Biggish Dave Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 A couple of hefty challenges early on and they won't want to know (I hope). An early goal would deflate the tinpot fylde coast outfit too Quote
Ratwhite Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 The obvious advantage is they have fuck all to play for. They cant even go up or down a place Fuck to play for apart from new contracts, in front of 18k plus crowd, on a perfect pitch, in a big stadium, with no pressure..... Quote

Fucking hell im not saying it means we will defintely win, but it is an advantage to play a team whose season is effectively over! Quote
Smiley Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Nice to get a huge crowd on.... but fear the £26 will still put folk off, which is criminal. Quote

Not sure it is necessarily an advantage, depends. Teams with nothing to play for are more unpredictable. They can play young lads who nobody knows much about, try weird systems out. Also a team who needs a point might sit back if say the game was 1-1 with ten left, which would suit us. Posh have nowt to lose or gain so probably would just play relaxed attacking football. If we get into their faces and make it a tough physical game and get an early goal it could be to our advantage. I'd far rather be playing Port Vale at home last day than Peterborough though. Quote

Gonk Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I'd rather be playing Peterborough and with a 2 point advantage and far superior goal difference Quote
DomRepWanderer Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Problem could be if Parkinson sets them up not to lose, if we hit them from the off Peterborough should be there for the taking. Quote
Boby Brno Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 5 o'clock flight to Prague. What shall I do? Are the trains running? Never missed a promotion party before. (Assuming of course that we don't lose) Quote
Rizlar Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 What will rosler do he knows all we need is a point even if Fleetwood win so does he rest some players not risking injuries for the play offs especially if port vale need points to stay up so they will be up for it. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Fleetwood will go for the win without a doubt. They will get it too, Vale are as poor a team I've seen this season. Peterbrough have only taken 1 point on the road against the other teams in the top 6. It will remain that way too Quote
miamiwhite Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 The defeat at London Road earlier this season was a piss poor performance. We've moved on since then though. 4-1 drubbing. John Thomas hat trick and Victoria Beckham with her tits out, but Kathy Lloyd beats her hands down on the knockers front. Slight disappointment in only 20,273 in attendance. Quote

MalcolmW Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Peterborough brought on a Jamaican sub yesterday called Junior Morias - could be a little confusing. [They also have a Norwegian called Martin Samuelsen on loan from, erm, West Ham.] Quote
Escobarp Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Never mind what peterbrough may or may not do or if they will fancy it. We've enough quality to beat these and more than enough incentive. Comfortable win in the end by 2 or more but nervy as heck until first goal Is this on sky? Or am I being far too hopeful Quote
famouswanderer Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Its never easy. Ill go for a nervy 0-0 Quote
