All I could make out was that the bloke who runs the shop at some point put up some banners which read 'don't fund terrorism' and claimed corner shops were being used to launder money to terrorist organisation in the middle east. The police told him to take it down but he refused. Then at some point TR got involved and yesterday posted a video of himself on twitter driving up to work at the shop, wearing a Rangers top and saying that some Celtic fans also support terrorism by supporting Hamas. And then it kicked off?

It's hard to find any original stories re the shop because now on Google all the links are about what happened yesterday. Either that or Fletcher's Fish & Chips who are also in Sunderland.

Is that about right or is there more to it than that?

There should be no surprise about their fans supporting terrorism. A good number of them contributed financially to one for many years and no doubt some still help fund 'Continuity' and 'Real'.
