I think you may have more faith in the great british public than I do at the moment.

Well yes we do have some numpties but recent locals suggest the game is up for this lot. None of their policies are joined up and they are set for more infighting.

There was talk a couple of years ago of how the Labour Party may split........it's looking more likely that the Conservatives will split, as some of them think they're not leaving far enough to the right, and some think they need to be more central.

But here's the thing, they aren't backtracking on the overall flawed leaving the EU strategy, it's all 'its failing because it's not being done the way I would'

Absolutely - I guess the problem is that nobody ever said what "Brexit" would actually be. You have some who thought it was just about "getting control back" you had some who thought we'd leave, but nothing would change, as we'd still be trading in the same way we have done for many years, and you had some who thought we'd leave and the rest of the world would be battering our door down to offer free trade deals.

Sadly, it seems that nobody seems to have got the Brexit that they voted for, and it's going quite badly at the minute. It will of course get sorted eventually, just not in the few weeks/months that dicks like David Davis said it would.

You will though, still have some, who will claim it's going really well, and exactly as they expected it to, although that number of people is diminishing by the day

Anyway, Farage needs to pipe down, he won, he needs to get over it  -  it's almost like he's trying to keep himself relevant

Absolute nonsense. Do you not remember the "Oven-Ready Deal" that won the Conservatives a massive majority?

Turkey who told people to vote for Christmas and said he would leave Blighty if Christmas failed, now says this wasn’t the Christmas he voted for and blames it on Santa and those pesky elves, so he is prepared to stay

Maybe @SatanGreavsie wrote the “Ted Rogers” clue and the Brexiteers just won a Dusty Bin.

Many of these wanted the country to spend more, it’s got to come from somewhere.

Can you add on a line that shows tax thresholds for a reasonable comparison?

Just another Tory tax rise. Genius to let inflation run out of control to push more people into higher tax bracket.

Lord Gammon has, in a rare outbreak of telling the truth, suggested that Brexit (thus far) has failed.........he's correct that we've been let down by our own politicians during the process of leaving (although some will probably have you believe it's down to the ECHR and sinister slags)

It is!!! Those plus a union led, anti democratic Civil Service. Drain the swamp.

He is more than just relevant. You really know this of course. With proportional representation would likely have involvement with somewhere around one fifth of the seats in Parliament.

Starmer was all for PR until he started to believe that he may get a thumping victory (in no small way thanks to the implosion of the SNP). Hypocrisy on the sinister side of politics? Well I never.

Not with the current electoral system. These extreme factions have to align themselves with more moderate parties to have any chance of influence. Same applies Labour, Conservative doesn't matter.

The answer is PR. The country needs it and fast.
