I want to see one on the scoresheet from the other side before we can all join together on the campaign for total free speech.

Good point and we all know that will never happen in the UK these days don’t we……

Been no such thing for years now really.

Oh do fuck off. Thick brown is just that. Full of shit. You certainly choose some strange bedfellows but it's a free world.

Yes, 100% for free speech but, as you left leaners have managed to damage, disrupt, cancel - whatever fucking word you want to use, people for speaking their mind/expressing an opinion, time to shoot one of yours down. Won't happen of course although I will remain hopeful.

Crawl? You are off your fucking head mate. The fumes.

I did predict you’d get angry and start bringing glue into it😄

it’s hilarious really, you’ve just gone full circle, now you’re saying that actually free speech is important. But because Lineker is a lefty in your eyes, and because you think it often happens to folk on the right, then it’s payback time. What a pathetic stance to take for free speech.

JK Rowling holds very similar views to Lineker on immigration. So your and @captainmed’s argument that he’s the first lefty on the scoresheet is absolute nonsense.

@wanderer1984 went on an interesting ramble about cancel culture and one of your own as well. Funny  that when he was asked to give an example  of someone on here who had defended it, he couldn’t.

Anyway, Our Gary is back presenting MoTD on Saturday, no apology required.

The BBC admit that the guidelines aren't clear and are setting up independant review to look at the guidelines for freelancers outside news and current affairs, with the current guidelines in place in the interim.

Looked like the BBC blinked.

Wait a sec, I thought rules were rules and they were simples?

Such a shame they're bringing him back. I much preferred the unmanned version of Match of the Day, because they showed all the goals and replays so you could understand penalty calls.

I didn't specify on here. It was in general and I apologise if it came across that way.

For the record I couldn't give toss about what Lineker said or has said in the past. Like the rest of us, he's entitled to his opinion.

I find it funny a lot of people get offended so easily by words that don't really affect them. Sticks and stone and all that.

Ahhh okay.

It was just when you said “How does it feel lads? 💦”, on this football forum,   I assumed you were talking to us.

My bad. Good to see we’re in agreement then 👍

@bolty58won't be happy about that - although, I suspect like everybody else, he knew that Lineker would "win" anyway

What I don't understand is this logic of wanting free speech, but not form certain people - that just doesn't make any sense at all

Man warned about his behaviour at work…..man warned again about his behaviour at work……man finally sacked/stood down whatever it is.

Man back at work after his employer recognises they haven’t really got a leg to stand on🥳

Assume the people who were equating this to a scorecard and it was inevitable their side were getting one back will acknowledge this as a loss ?

He'll be fine. He can go back into his happy place moaning about the BBC being Pravda, or something.

will be interesting to see who is appointed to do a review of the bbc's guidelines

I doubt it will someone who's ever been associated with the BBC

so will be interesting to see what the cut off point they come up, if any, is for non poltical correspondants to be able to say "what they want"
