Members bolty58
I note all the doom mongers focusing on sterling don't mention other currencies falling in value. The Aussie dollar his hit a 3.5 year low. Brexit has a lot to answer for Get it done Boris lad. It will seem like no time at all until the doom mongers and naysayers will have to find something else to attach their 'end is nigh' predictions. Probably climate change? bwfcfan5
So the lies of the Brexiteers have once again been confirmed. But funny how whilst the BBC should be commended for doing this - they don't make anything of it. Should be headline news this. Anyone who claims Brexiteers were clear about no deal before the referendum is lying - and that is now a fact. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-49165836

Unfortunately so mate. Germany has had a bad week so far. Firstly the sexual culture classes, then the poor child killed when he was pushed in front of a train by an immigrant who was once a poster boy for successful immigration (couldn’t script this shit), then the horrific hacking to death of a bloke the other day, in broad daylight by a Syrian with a ceremonial sword. I must be racist for stating pure facts which has caused great concern in Germany this week.

Some bar codes, labels, computers, scanners etc. I've not a clue. However, when a chap who is employed in the customs sector, says the technology is there then it'll do for me. He did say that it was down to the politicians to decide how exactly it is to be used, he mentioned mobile checking units for example. And therein is the issue. Those at the top, for whatever reason, refusing to get it properly sorted and introduced. Completely lacking pragmatism. I dare say it would take time to get it up and running effectively, but if you never start the process it won't happen.

Sadly, those who say the technology exists, aren't willing to give examples or show how it might work, in order to shut those up who say the technology doesn't exist. Surely, if it does already, they can silence the doubters within seconds, but so far in 3 years, they've not managed to do so.......hence the suspicion by many, that there isn't the technology available as of yet Sure the technology exists for checking stuff coming into or out of a warehouse or bonded area such as a port, but across an entire, unpoliced, land border I'm not so sure. Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted August 2, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted August 2, 2019 Maybe manufacturers would be reluctant just to publicise something without an agreement to buy the stuff from government. Would you want to give competitors any advantage unnecessarily?

Perhaps but to keep saying it exists and no more is going to raise doubts in people's minds, especially over such an important issue that's make or break for a deal

Technology for border crossings exists no doubt, people can point to Switzerland Sweden Canada America for proof however , that isn’t suitable for the border area in Ireland for various reasons. All the above examples use ‘technology ‘ but still need an infrastructure at the point of crossing.thats the issue with the technology, it’s not invisible

It does exist, but wanted to know how it was to be used. He suggested an example of a mobile system for checking away from the border. No doubt modification may be needed etc, but until it's actually a government/EU request to properly sort it, it won't come to fruition.
