Outrageous statement by Ken that. Absolutely nowt in it worth moaning about. Booooooooooooooo.

Marc Iles decided to pick out the Ken Bates reference.

He could’ve gone with the plea for calm or the information re the youth setup.

But his first tweet is about a passive comment on ken Bates.

Iles is a prick

KA statement was good and as he is now paying the bills what is the problem?

My only concern is sticking with the inept manager but thats probably just another contraint due to finances

There's the thing for me, what do the protesters really think they're protesting about? Parky Out? Ken Out? Fuck it, both of 'em out.

I would imagine, though he's clearly not going to say it, Ken would want to tell Parky to get his coat and is frustrated about being in such a financial state he can't. So people are frustrated about Ken being frustrated.

All the pantomime of the last week to 10 days has taken attention away from how dismal things are on the pitch. While PP might say it's an unwelcome distraction it's arguably doing him a favour.

Going into tomorrow night though, it'll be a hard enough job to live with WBA for 90 mins, all those present need to get behind the team and try to be supportive, even if, as usual, there's precious little to get folk off their seats

"In particular, John McGinlay, who was on the panel, criticised the Academy for not having any identity or scouting representation at the Bolton, Bury and District Football League. I have been told that this surprises our staff at the Academy who told me that over the past three seasons they had recruited a total of 64 new players of which 33 came from the BBDFL. They have seven scouts which cover the BBDFL on a regular basis.

The success of the under 18s and under 23s in recent seasons is well documented and I am confident that the success will continue. It was only last season that the Academy was ranked the most productive in the EFL and second out of all 92 clubs in England and Wales."

That was a slap in the bollocks for McGinlay

You think these blokes getting involved in protests and the like would do a bit of fact checking before they start spouting bullshit.

If only an esteemed local journalist could've been on the panel

There were quite a few people who'd never spent a second looking at the accounts who would swear blind that the 150m+ he put in was all creative accounting and actually he was making a killing out of the club. And not just cranks on social media.

But overall I'd say it was more that he never was given the credit he warranted, rather than being overly abused. Part of it was also due to the fact he was the polar opposite of Ken, you'd go years without hearing from him and so fans never really got to know who he was other than this mysterious kettle man.

Bolton parish church was half empty for the Eddie Davies memorial service, even the current owner Ken Anderson didn't attend. The Bolton public in general haven't bought into Eddie Davies like one or two on here have. It's not like the Bolton public don't respect their heroes, 1000s paid respect to Nat Lofthouse and Fred Dibnah, it's just that Eddie Davies isn't considered one of those by as many
