Zico Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Saturday will easily be a ton Like I say, a tenner making a difference makes no sense It might make a difference but why some people just go to the game, and straight home after Quote
enzo gambaro Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 some people just go to the game, and straight home afterAye. A carful splitting petrol and taking a flask and butties could probably do it for 25 quid. Fuck that. Quote
bwfc2003 Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 some people just go to the game, and straight home after Doesnt everyone get there at 11.00am and stumble home at midnight then?? Quote
captainmed Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 (edited) I understand but a tenner ticket price makes a difference, because youre parting with cash "sober". Similarly re trains etc.... At the end of the night, people are throwing £20's about like confetti, on cocktails, buying strangers drinks, food and taxis. Thats where the money is spent. tomski Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Saturday will easily be a ton Like I say, a tenner making a difference makes no sense It might make a difference but why Its perceived value for money. I don't think 30 plus is worth it for a championship game. Quote
Dr Faustus Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Last minute Dave strikes again... I've got a tournament at Burnden due to finish at 1pm latest. Google says one thing, but realistically what are my chances of making kick off? Quote
tomski Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Not likely dr. With the 50 zones on the motorway it really would be touch and go Quote

Eavesy Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Its perceived value for money. I don't think 30 plus is worth it for a championship game. Don’t think the league matters much in terms of value (IMO) Much rather see a battle (with less quality) in league 1 or 2 than a drubbing a city Quote

Traf Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Isn't £20 the maximum away ticket price in the PL now? Quote

That's mine. I'm not bothered which league we are in bit I don't think a ticket is worth over 30 anymore. Sure I'll do the odd game but as a rule I'll sack it off Quote
enzo gambaro Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 It’s been twenty quid at Saints for a couple of years. Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted August 3, 2018 Author Posted August 3, 2018 Aye. A carful splitting petrol and taking a flask and butties could probably do it for 25 quid. Fuck that. Needs must sometimes. Dropping my son off with my dad on Saturday morning (didn’t fancy taking t’lad after the knobs who jumped on Leeds away last season) and driving down with a car full and hopefully back to pick t’lad up by 7. Certainly didn’t want to take the piss and drop him off at usual away game departure time of daft o’clock and then roll up at midnight pissed up to pick him up. Not something I’d want to do for every away game but it’s preferable to not going at all and the money saved compared to usual does cushion the loss of the day out a bit. Quote
