If it's the same fella didn't he carry a horn with him to games? Not sure of his first name, but I think he did blast a horn at the game. I remember a night game at Ayresome Park in the 80s where he was late getting back on the coach after he had chased a Boro fan who had taking the mickey out of him all game. He had this huge dent in the horn when he finally arrived got back on the coach📣
Blondi
Going to book a week away in September shortly, not bothered about a sunny holiday, been thinking about flying to Munich, spend 2 nights there, then direct train from Munich to Salzburg, spend 2 nights there and finally train from Salzburg direct to Innsbruck and stay 3 nights there and then fly from Innsbruck to Manchester. Worked a price out for plane tickets, accommodation and trains and only about £650 each in 4star hotels in the city centers, sound any good? They specialise in rail holidays. Sounds great though!

I think that's where I got my itinerary from ::lol::. Flights are cheap flying to Munich with Easyjet,(£40.00) the return flight with Jet2 from Innsbruck to Manchester is over £115.00 each though, but trains are really cheap, like 16 euros or so, my Mrs has given me the thumbs up too as she loves going to different places and not being stuck in the same resort. jayjayoghani
Did something similar Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, and Venice, Verona, Bergamo. Multiple city breaks in one bash are the best holidays.

While not having the iconic attractions that say Venice has, the city is amazing. Full of beautiful buildings. We did the reputed Romeo and Juliet balcony, and the Juliet statue but not sure you can touch the statue anymore. The Arena Di Verona is beautiful and if you're really keen on some culture, try to do an opera there. Amazing restaurant near to the Arena called La Vecia Mescola too. Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted February 9, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted February 9, 2020 Innsbruck and Salzburg are 2 great cities. We were there a couple of years ago amongst other places. Our local friendly travel agent has sorted our September trip this year, Santorini, Naxos and Mykonos. Did a sterling job for us.

Exchanged the odd e-mail with him more recently but the last time I saw him in person was at Tranmere when Nevin scored and that nobhead Aldridge ran up the touchline to goad. Ste had his LA Whites stars and stripes flag on display.

Anderson
Heading to Utrecht in May for a tournament on Kings Weekend? I believe it's some sort of national holiday but know nothing about it, anyone know if with it being a day off nationally on the Monday whether going out in Dam is the answer or if Utrecht itself will have plenty to offer? Kings day is massive. there are parties everywhere and everyone is dressed in orange. I did the night before in the Hague which was decent then did the day in amsterdam. It depends what you like though. there are loads of dance parties and everything is a bit crazy.

I stayed in Utrecht a couple of years ago. Lots of bars, fuckin millions of cyclists. Stayed at a place called the Eye Hotel - used to be an eye hospital years ago - really cool hotel. I really enjoyed it for a few days, sure you'll not need to go to 'Dam instead.
