Parkinson to Sunderland

Looking likely that this is going to happen, odds on favourite at the moment. What we thinking, reckon he will do a good job for them lot?

    Dean Holdsworth?

  • Good luck to Parky. I've no hard feelings towards him at all. He handled himself with total dignity considering what a cluster fuck he had to deal with because of Sweaty.

Get if that fence and tell us what you really think of Mr. Coyle

Had we potted Coyle at Swansea a year sooner, we’d have stayed up that season, and had the chance to consolidate just as the seriously big money came in for Premier League clubs.
That being the case, we could’ve avoided the shitstorm of financial turmoil that we’ve been going through ever since.

Parkinson played a major part in two last day pitch invasions which we’ll all remember forever. Promotion one season and a last day survival against all odds the next.
He then stayed without being paid for months through all the carnage, and resigned without us needing to pay him off, which like him or not was massively honourable.

We’re still recovering from Coyle seven years on. It’s not even remotely close. Parky has my utmost respect. Coyle was massively responsible in us nearly going under.

Cos he's a cunt

Toward the end of KA he was on 5 and amazingly, he said

Bolton have wasted too much money over the years

Our problem was we, or Gartside didn't have a good record of appointing managers after Allardyce.

Oh yeah, the blame doesn’t lie solely on Coyle. Had he been sacked in October 2011, he’d have been deemed a successful appointment. I do however blame Coyle for:-

- Spending the £7m Cahill cash that we had to save our season on an unknown 5ft 10” centre half, and a striker he’d never seen play. Nor did he play him when he signed.

- Players being absolutely fucked around the 60 minute mark every game. ‘Training’ or lack of clearly at fault here.

-N’Gog. £4m. Hardly played and was shit when he did.

- Keith Andrews, three year deal, £20k a week, 31 years old.

Plenty more but I don’t want to clog this up. We were awful that season and we’re still paying for it now. It’s a miracle that we even took it to the last day IMO.

He’s since shown how completely incompetent he is in every job he’s had. Should be detested way more than Megson in reality.

Not remotely.

See Parkinson has brought Andy Taylor in on the coaching side.

Another way of saying that is, Gartside got lucky just the once.

That should quieten down the criticism from Sunderland fans.

The more and more I think about parky, KA was a convenient excuse for him. He hid behind it for the majority of his reign. Sunderland fans will eat him alive

Mike Pollitt in as goal keeping coach.

Think that completes the set of having every Boltonian in professional football on the coaching staff.

Nice bloke and had some cracking games against us when he was at Wigan.

his missus was/probably still is a very attractive lady who used to do guinness promotions

Parky’s shite

Burton away, enough said

No point pointing at someone else and saying ‘he’s not the shittest’

Its like Corbyn v Boris

Read a few tweets from Rotherham fans seem he’s held in high regard, looks a fabulous appointment.  Were like the republic of Boltonia.

Well known Astley Bridge lad is Mike Pollitt, went to Thornleigh and a Bolton fan.

So goalkeeper is the only position clubs employ a coach for.  If there was a right back coach,  Nicky Hunt would be nailed on.  Just train with Emmanuel and Brockbank every day and maybe an under 18 right back.  How hard can that be.  David Burke could be left back coach, would just have been working with Chicksen for a few months but Bunney will be joining sessions now.  Tough gig that.

Didn’t Big Sam get in a rugby kicker to work with the strikers.

Someone like Johnny wilkinson?

Very good

More fuel to the mackem fire

He's doing what he always does, making whatever squad of players he has under perform.  The whole is weaker than the sum of its parts.  Just let him hang on in there till Boxing Day (and yes they'll probably beat us anyway but the atmosphere will be interesting if nothing else).

Did they wank themselves off over taking 2500 to Gillingham again or has the novelty worn off yet?
