Under lying conditions or not. This is appalling and if it’s true and I’m not doubting your integrity it’s a breach of human rights and should be reported to the GMC

Everyone (including me im guilty of it in the past) needs to stop viewing Trump and his nutcase defenders on Fox News as in any way a hero or amusing. In an ordinary world that’s fine but that puts the healthcare worker carrying out the mouth to mouth at significant risk surely I’d be surprised if they give mouth to mouth to anyone who has this virus Who needs to fuck about with PPE if your going to end up giving CPR anyway Edited April 4, 2020 by birch-chorley

I’ve mentioned a few times now that they have been mandatory in the Czech Republic in public for weeks now and they have a very low death rate. South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong all wear masks and again a low death rate.

ErnestTurnip
One thing I never knew before all of this was how many homosexuals lived in my area. When I go for a walk the amount of 30+ yr old male couples I see cycling alongside each other and happily chatting away has been a real eye opener. Is that what all the rainbows I've seen in windows are about?

Same can be said for PPE to a certain extent A former Labour cabinet minister was on Newsnight the other night saying that a Pandemic like this has been top of the ‘risk register’ forever and successive governments going back decades from both sides have failed to make adequate provision for if / when it finally happened Then again, not many who end up on a ventilator come off them alive from what I can see, they were on the news the other day cheering as they finally got the first patient off one and into recovery. We understand all that. Don't know if you saw JVT but he was categoric that we are not yet near going beyond capacity. He didn't say it won't happen, and that is why all and sundry are being asked to help produce new ones. And why we're asked to stay home. Can also understand why certain folk are being asked to sign these forms, albeit very unpalatable.

Perhaps it’s semantics then I think it’s fair enough to say we don’t have enough ventilators due to the fact that we need thousands in a matter of days / weeks Governments all over the world have all admitted they they don’t have enough to deal with the virus Also, with regards the Italy but, I think it’s been clear for sometime that we are about 2 weeks behind them in terms of the curve

No, but clearly health professionals think we don't have enough to meet the coming demand. It's for that reason people of a certain age are being asked to sign DNARs.
