Thought this was an interesting read over a cuppa this morning. So I'll leave it out there- https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2020/03/its-not-socialism-its-another-mega-wealth-transfer/?fbclid=IwAR06hO6Ps41_q7ZsnOk91K4YY2q7BdLPhdDZAiKwk5-6XAZNfUUIoy_Tr2s

He praises Rishi Sunak's policies since this crisis started- obviously urgently need more accessible support for self employed- but hopefully that will come today.

But the biggest issue could be how the usual few will profit from this while workers & the tax payer will take the slack in coming years. Personally, I don't see them getting away with pushing more austerity on public services. Especially after many will be seen as heroes after this blows over. But I wouldn't be surprised if they tried. I'm a glass half full of optimism and topped up with pessimism as the moment.

I won't comment on the article itself, but Craig Murray is a notorious crank.

Interesting read because it fits your own rhetoric and political position or interesting because it’s full of statements like “the directors legally removes money from the company to their own personal accounts” this showing they’ve done nothing outside the law?

car phone warehouse didn’t go bust it was simply shut down. Nothing to see here and I don’t think stuff like this needs posting  if I’m honest mate. Life is tough enough without misleading articles like this poking the hornets nest of those that will lap stuff like this up

if you want to post this I would say pop it on a different thread like the politics one as it’s loosely associating itself with corona virus to push a political agenda

cheers

No matter how bad it gets, there’s always plenty of olives in supermarket shelves

Should be in one of those fortune cookies that. Having said that bet you can't buy an olive in Islington....

Just checked,

422 as of 1pm 24th

463 as of 9am 25th

So 41 in 20 hours?

and previously the daily figures were reported as being from the previous day, so god knows. I'd take any figures from yesterday and today with a pinch of salt as they may be changing the way they report to make it more accurate, or maybe there was just reporting delays for some reason.

It’s ridiculous that we are not getting clear numbers on deaths here every 24 hours.

Yesterday was the first day, I think

Conspiracy folks will love it

doesn't make it easy to measure at the moment, will have to wait and see what they say today, there may be a valid reason for it.

From what I can see, it looks like the overall plan is to make the local, recovered patients and seriously ill patients number  more accurate, and easier to follow, so it may be something to do with that - in China and S korea they had an app that went to street level, showing where each individual positive case was isolating, went from red to green when they recovered, the idea was to help people stay away from areas with lots of cases

Just went to chemist to get a prescription.

I decided to buy a mask; as much as anything because yesterday's raking of dead moss had resulted in inhaling loads of dust and shit, and I'd coughed my head off when I got up!

Anyway, they charged £12, fucking 12 bastard quid for one mask.

Nowt special, a bit better than a paper thin b&q dust mask, but fuck me, robbing cunts.

Cheese has a gimp mask (alledgedly)

Gimps are a weird thing. I remember seeing it in Pulp Fiction for the first time when I was about 14. Blew my mind.

That movie has warped my fragile little mind.
