It goes to regional on here, under statistics. Lombardy still by far the worst, 60% of deaths.  I'm trying to get info for Lodi, a region of Lombardy that locked down early. I read a week ago that they've almost eradicated it, but I've not found the data yet, I've got some italian links It may be on. I'll post.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_coronavirus_pandemic_in_Italy

Ta.

I read this morning about a small town in Lombardy called Ferrera Erbognone, where there have been no confirmed cases despite it being in one of the most badly affected areas of the country and surrounded by towns with hundreds of confirmed cases. There's probably an innocent explanation for it but it's interesting nontheless.

Last week, we did 50k tests

At that rate, its going to be  25 years before everybody is tested

And when you think the vast majority test negative.....

There used to be a Mexican restaurant in Manchester and it was brilliant. Then went to chiquitos and they served me a plate of oily guff

It reminds me a bit of the days after 9/11, especially in my Industry where the Airlines immediately started getting rid of people. It was the perfect excuse for struggling Companies to get rid of people without the Unions kicking up a fuss.

By some estimates, fewer than a third of those who die with Covid will die *from* Covid. Dr John Lee on the importance of this distinction

A really interesting article.

It makes me a little uncomfortable saying certain individuals would have died anyway, and the disease didn't cause their deaths: it would be impossible to judge how long they would have lived without the disease.

However it's a rational article, focussed on what death rates actually are  and satisfies me that all this comparison with other nations and fixation with deaths isn't necessary and is somewhat unhealthy. 👍

Was that the place below street level down towards Oxford Road? I can't remember its name but it was brilliant in there.
