TroySwoosh Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 As Spider said, it's from Preston long before lockdown, now, back to Kelly Brooks busters Quote

I only hear rumours as I'm not in microbiology. What I've been told is that the test isn't straightforward and needs to be done by hand - and we just don't have enough lab technicians and lab space to process a huge amount of tests. Even though they are working really hard. We're set up to process usual fluctuations - but nothing on this scale. I think the hope is that a newer, simpler test will be developed that gives a quicker result. Until then - I'm not sure how it's possible to dramatically ramp up testing? Quote
kent_white Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Another point - if you added all those who sadly died in care homes or at their own home - I reckon you could safely double the number of people that are dying each day. All that is being reported at the moment is confirmed positive cases that have died in hospital. Quote
Marc505 Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Kenny Dalglish is in hospital and has tested positive, apparently hasn't displayed any symptoms and still isn't just happened to be tested as he was in there for something else. Quote

Escobarp Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 I’m 99% sure it’s what my dad died of a few weeks ago now. Looking at what symptoms he had and how he died of a pneumonia type illness I’m pretty sure that was what did for him how many more have died earlier this year of pneumonia which was actually Covid? Unfortunately you might be right pal. Makes you wonder how long it started before China started to report it. Quote

My mate came back from Wuhan with man flu just before xmas. Gave it to me and a few other dads at Eddie Davis academy, weve got lads in U12s. I was in bed for 1 day, kids had mild cold for a few days, mrs nothing. Who knows??? Quote

Yep every new illness will have a period where people mistake it for something else that they are aware of. The numbers we have already seen could be a lot higher but I’m actually confident that apart from the minority of dickheads we are doing the right things and we will beat this and come out stronger Quote

Guest Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 The main aim is to keep supply over demand, so the strategy is currently working. Quote

Of course, but until we get a fire or a vaccine, the objective is to be able to manage people through to recovery or death. its a bastard disease Quote
